TODAY'S THOUGHT

The greatest wastes are unused talents and untried ideas Anonymous

TODAY'S ACTION

TODAY'S QUOTE

Noise proves nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg cackles as if she had laid an asteroid

Mark Twain

HAPPY WEDNESDAY !

OVER THE HUMP DAY !

We are now on the downhill slide into the weekend.

I have something to look forward to on Saturday – it’s the last Family Camp of the year for my family. If the weather permits, I’ll be traveling down to Mohican to visit with them all.

Today is payroll day and should be a busy one at work, which always make the time go faster.

Have a great day all! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS...THE ‘ REAL ‘ COLUMBUS DAY

Columbus landed in the new world on October 12, 1492. And only 90 men made that voyage. The ships were very small - about as long as a tennis court, and less than 30 feet wide. The Santa Maria had 40 men aboard, the Pinta, 26, and the Nina, 24. Only the Nina and the Pinta returned to Spain. The Santa Maria was shipwrecked on Christmas Day

It’s officially celebrated the 2nd Monday of October each year.

And Today … Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, begins today at sundown

MOMS SURVIVAL TIPS

When someone tells you that what he's about to say is "for your own good," expect the worst

If you are lavishly praised, enjoy the taste but don't swallow it whole

After a certain age, if you say something outrageous, everyone will think it's cute. Take advantage of this

Don't wait for the funeral to say something kind or nice about someone

Your children may leave home, but their stuff will be in your attic and basement forever

If you wouldn't want to see it in a newspaper or on the evening news, don't do it

Don't let a child with the stomach flu sleep on the top bunk

The only receipt you don't save is the only one you'll need later

If you humiliate yourself, be consoled with the thought that you probably made someone else's day...maybe even their week. Think of your humiliation as an act of charity

The value of a cat is its utter indifference to its owner's importance

Don't waste time trying to be your own best friend; you can't pat yourself on the back, and it's unsatisfying to cry on your own shoulder. Find a real friend instead

The value of a dog is its constant reminder of how much fun it is to be idiotic

And know when to leave the stage, Like right now

TODAY'S WORD

por·ten·tous adjective

 1. Of the nature of or constituting a portent; foreboding: "The present aspect of society is portentous of great change" (Edward Bellamy).

2. Full of unspecifiable significance; exciting wonder and awe: "Such a portentous and mysterious monster roused all my curiosity" (Herman Melville).

3. Marked by pompousness; pretentiously weighty.

TODAY'S REFLECTION

You neglected the Rock who had fathered you; you forgot the God who had given you birth.

Deut. 32:18

God has given us life. It is by His hand that we receive our daily sustenance. Why would we choose to live our life without the God who has given us life?

Even as Christians, we often choose to live our life without God. We ignore Christ, the Rock. We make decisions and live our life as though God does not exist. Might we, as Christians, give God his rightful place in our lives

TODAY'S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC

For grease spills on brick or cement: Apply cornmeal, leave it for a few hours, and then sweep.

70 DAYS UNTIL WINTER!

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

I Love You All !!!

Be Blessed !!!
