TODAY'S QUOTE

We are all capable of infinitely more than we believe. We are stronger and more resourceful than we know, and we can endure more that we think we can

HAPPY ‘FINALLY’ FRIDAY !

Thank the good Lord the weekend is almost here. I’ve got lots to do here at home this weekend and will enjoy seeing the sunshine that’s suppose to be abundant !

I got an email from DDIL#2 asking me to join her network of friends yesterday and I think that the link I went to probably sent out the same to all in my address book. So if you got the ‘Hi5’ mailing – just ignore it…I only joined because of DDIL #2. I didn’t realize it was including my whole address book. Sorry about that.

The critters and I are staying in and keeping warm. It’s hard to believe that less than a month ago the a/c was on. There’s just been no happy medium here. We’ve either been hot or cold.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the way !

 TODAY IS...GHOST BUSTERS DAY

What is the most popular Halloween costume every year? A ghost, of course. And the most famous ghost is Casper. "Casper the Friendly Ghost" was created by Joe Oriolo and Sy Reit in the early 1940s. He went on tostar in cartoons, comic books and tv shows. Worldwide, he is the most recognized character after Micky Mouse. And everyone knows the tune...

Casper, the friendly ghost,

The friendliest ghost you know

TODAY'S SMILE

When my daughter was about five years old, she always liked to try new things. One morning she attempted to pour herself a glass of milk from a nearly full gallon jug. I was standing nearby knowing that there was going to be a bit of a mess, but wanted her to try anyway.

Well, sure enough, milk splashed out and over the table. Wanting to be patient and encouraging, I said, "That's OK, honey. The important thing is that no milk got on the carpet!"

Her answer, as she peered over the edge of her glass was, "No, the IMPORTANT thing is I got some in the glass."

Sometimes we miss the REALLY important things, and a child's perspective can bring us back to reality

 TODAY'S WORD

confidant • \KAHN-fuh-dahnt

noun : one to whom secrets are entrusted; especially : intimate

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Hear and understand. Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man

Matthew 15:10b-11

Jesus taught that what we eat goes into the stomach and is eliminated. But the words we speak, come from the heart and can cause much trouble. When Christ guides our life and our tongue, we enjoy new-found peace

TODAY'S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC

Patience is a bitter plant, but it has sweet fruit

54 DAYS UNTIL WINTER

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

 I Love You All !!!
