 TODAY'S THOUGHT

Whatever is begun in anger ends in shame.

Benjamin Franklin

TODAY'S ACTION

Reflect upon a past kindness and the strength it afforded both the giver and the receiver.

TODAY'S QUOTE

Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit

Peter Ustinov

HAPPY TUESDAY !

It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 80’s. I don’t think this qualifies as Indian Summer as we haven’t had our 1st frost yet. Anyway it is beautiful out and the leaves are starting to turn color and fall.

It’s time to start thinking about the holidays that are coming up. I always have our family dates posted on my NEWSLETTER Page - http://hometown.aol.com/marainey1/myhomepage/holidaynewsletter.html

There won’t be anymore 3rd Sunday Dinners for the rest of the year as each month has a special get together date already.

HAVE A GREAT DAY ! ANOTHER WONDERFUL ONE ON THE WAY!

TODAY IS...GOLF LOVERS DAY

During the days of the Roman Empire, they played a game that involved hitting feather-stuffed balls with club-shaped branches. And, so began the game of golf. The first 18-hole course in the U.S. was the Chicago Golf Club founded in 1893. Everybody now gets to take this day off to go play golf!

just kidding!

TODAY'S SMILE

Kathryn's 5-year-old developed a strong interest in spelling once she learned to spell STOP. After that, she tried to figure out her own words. From the back seat of the car she'd ask, "Mom, what does FGRPL spell?" "Nothing," Kathryn said. Sitting at breakfast she'd suddenly ask, "Mom, what does DOEB spell?" "Nothing," Kathryn answered. This went on for several weeks. Then one afternoon as they sat coloring in her room she asked, "Mom, what does LMDZ spell?" Kathryn smiled at her and said, "Nothing, sweetheart." The 5-year-old carefully set down her crayon, sighed and said,

Boy, there sure are a lot of ways to spell Nothing

TODAY'S REFLECTION

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

We must confess that many situations arise in our lives that produce fear. It may be illness, failure, financial loss, loneliness, loss of job, or death. Sometimes fear is the result of trying to handle our situations ourselves instead of committing them to the Lord.
