TODAY’S QUOTE

We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.

Luciano de Crescenzo

HAPPY THURSDAY !

Good News ! Dad has his pacemaker now ! If all goes well he should be coming home sometime today ! He did very well with the surgery yesterday and everything looks fine. Thank the good Lord !

Also today, please join me in praying for our ‘little ray of Sunshine’ as he will be having surgery to remove enlarged tonsils and adenoids. And…

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

God Bless You !

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS…HEALTHY HEART DAY

There are many factors that affect the health of our heart - starting with our ancestors. While we can't change who our great-grandparents might have been, we can think "healthy" today. Check out some tips for a healthy heart here:

The American Heart Association is attempting to draw attention to the major problem of heart disease in women. Too often considered a male disease, more and more women are suffering from heart attacks and heart related ailments.

The American Heart Association has devised Go Red for Women Day, Friday February 2nd. The movement began in 2004 and has grown in size and momentum since. The easiest way to participate is to simply wear red on Friday, February 2. Call attention to yourself and when people ask you why you are wearing red be prepared to tell them.

TODAY’S SMILE

Two tourists trying to pronounce the name of the Louisiana town of "Natchitoches where they had just stopped for lunch called their waitress and asked if she could help them.

"If you wouldn't mind," one of them asked."Just say the name of the place where we are -- very slowly and clearly"

"Certainly," the waitress answered. She put her elbows on the counter and her chin in her hands and told them to listen very carefully.

 "It's Brrrrr Grrrrr Kiiinnnnng."

TODAY’S WORD

soiree (noun)

[swaw-RAY]

1. an evening party, usually at a private house:

"I could not have been more disappointed to miss your fabulous soiree!"

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it

Genesis 28:16.

How easy it is to forget that God is in this place, right where we are, especially if we are discontented where we are. The Almighty God can be found in the most illogical places. Why not, for He is omnipresent.

When we least feel His presence, that is when He is most likely to be with us. May we practice the presence of our God who loves and cares, no matter where we are and no matter what the overwhelming circumstances are. They can never overwhelm our God.
