TODAY’S QUOTE
We grow by dreams. All big men are dreamers. Some of us let dreams die, but others nourish and protect them, nurse them through the bad days... to the sunshine and light which always come.
Woodrow Wilson
HAPPY SATURDAY
It’s a wonderful lazy Saturday morning here. I’m enjoying my morning coffee and will be reading my morning devotionals and checking e-mail, then surfing the web for more good things for my newsletter.
I don’t purchase any newspapers or magazines anymore. I can read everything I like right on line. I used to subscribe to lots of things and now am saving a lot reading on-line.
Today is my regular ‘house blessing’ day…cleaning dusting and laundry. It’s supposed to be getting colder and a little ‘wintry mix’ (rain and sleet) may come our way, so it’ll be a good day to stay in.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform forus in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU !
TODAY IS…BAD BACK DAY
If we walked down on all 4's, our back's wouldn't hurt (but our hands sure would!) Since most of us just use our feet to get around, here is everything you ever wanted to know to help your bad back:

TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is National Peach Melba Day
1942 - Henry Ford patented the plastic automobile which, allowed for a 30% decrease in car weight. Of course, it didn’t cost any less to buy a plastic car
1957 - Elvis Presley recorded That’s When Your Heartaches Begin for Victor Records in Hollywood. Elvis’ ninth consecutive gold record.
1957 - The Wham-O Company developed the first plastic Frisbee. The most popular theory as to how this flying disc came to be dates back to the 1920s when Yale students invented a game of catch by tossing around metal pie tins from the Frisbee Baking Company in nearby Bridgeport, Connecticut. They would frequently shout “Frisbieeeee” to warn passersby of the oncoming pie plate. Building inspector Fred Morrison puttered with and refined a plastic flying disc that he sold to WHAM-O (for $1 million) on this day in 1955. The disc was introduced to the consumer market in 1957 as the Pluto Platter (the name inspired by the U.S. obsession with UFOs). Wham-O changed the name to Frisbee in 1958, upon hearing the Yale pie-tin story. (Mattel now owns the rights to Frisbee, which has become an American icon.)

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work.
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Charles Osgood tells the story of two ladies who lived in a convalescent center. Both ladies had suffered serious strokes. Margaret's left side had been left restricted, while Ruth's right side was affected.
Both ladies had been accomplished pianists but had given up hope of ever playing again. The director of the center suggested to the two ladies that they try playing the piano together.
They did, and succeeded. They played excellent music and, better still, developed a beautiful friendship.
