ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

JANUARY 16TH,2007

TODAY'S THOUGHT

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Martin Luther King Jr.

TODAY’S ACTION

Be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to accomplish your goals

TODAY’S QUOTE

Perhaps I am a bear, or some hibernating animal underneath, for the instinct to be half asleep all winter is so strong in me.

Anne Morrow Lindbergh

HAPPY TUESDAY

It looks like we missed the ice storm yesterday, it went right over and bypassed us, but we got lots of rain ! Today the temps are dropping down in the 20’s and snow is expected. I don’t think we’ll get a lot, but we’ll see…

DDIL#4 has asked for prayers for her sister-in –law who recently had emergency surgery to remove a tumor. In doing so they performed a total hysterectomy and found some cancer cells in one of her ovaries. Because of this she will be going thru 6 weeks of chemotherapy as a precaution. Please join me in praying for her.

I think we’ll be doing our Dulcimer get together tonight, so hopefully the weather won’t get too bad.

Take good care all !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

God Bless You !

TODAY IS…WIND A CLOCK DAY

TODAY’S SMILE

One time a father wanted to teach his son the lesson of God’s great goodness. He took him to the top of a high hill and pointed northward over Scotland, southward over England, eastward over the ocean, westward over the hill and valley, and then sweeping his arm around the whole circling horizon, he said "Johnny, my boy, God’s love is as big as all of that."

"Why father," the boy replied with sparkling eyes, "then we must be right in the middle of it."

Earnest Worker

Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38 – 39

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Galatians 6:4

You can do something no one else can do in a fashion no one else can do it. Exploring and extracting your uniqueness excites you, honors God, and expands his kingdom. So “make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that.

Discover and deploy your knacks…When you do the most what you do the best, you put a smile on God’s face. What could be better than that?
