TODAY’S QUOTE

What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul.

Yiddish proverb

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

SNOW

Looking from my front porch on Tuesday I just had to send out this picture because my grandson (Dino Boy) was so disappointed that we had no snow at Christmas when they came to visit. I told him I would send a picture when we got some.

The roads were a little nasty on my way to work yesterday morning, but they were clear coming home. Some places east of us are still contending with slippery icy roads.

On the news they gave a tip for snow shoveling… To prevent the snow from sticking on your shovel or snow blower blades spray your shovel or snow blower blades with WD40 before shoveling.

I love that WD 40 it has a 101 uses.

It’s very cold because of the wind. Last night we were supposed to have a low of 17 degrees and today a high of 32 degrees.

Take good care all !

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way!

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

The Legend of Thomas Crapper

One of history's great inventors died 97 years ago this week. Then again, maybe he didn't. It depends on whether he ever lived. You see, Sir Thomas Crapper is widely recognized as the inventor of the flush toilet. Honest.

His biography is classified as non-fiction by the Library of Congress. It appears now, however, that Sir Thomas lived only in the mind of British author Wallace Reyburn, who wrote the alleged biography entitled Flushed With Pride.

According to the bathroom history, Clean And Decent by Lawrence Wright, the island of Crete had flush toilets as early as 2500 B.C.; so you can see where that leaves Sir Thomas Crapper.

You can also see just how deep we'll dig to keep you informed. And right now I'd say it's getting pretty deep!

TODAY’S SMILE

He was just a little boy on the week's first day. He was wandering home from Sunday School, and dawdling on the way. He scuffed his shoes into the grass; he found a caterpillar. He found a fluffy milkweed pod, and blew out all the "filler." A bird's nest in a tree overhead, so wisely placed on high. Was just another wonder that caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course, and hailed him from the lawn; Asked him where he'd been that day and what was going on. "I've been to Bible School," he said and turned a piece of sod. He picked up a wiggly worm replying, "I've learned a lot of God."

"M'm very fine way," the neighbor said, "for a boy to spend his time."

"If you'll tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime."

Quick as a flash the answer came! Nor was his accents faint.

"I'll give you a dollar, Mister, if you can tell me where God ain't."

TODAY’S WORD

TODAY’S REFLECTION

The water I give will become a spring of water gushing up inside that person, giving eternal life.

John 4:14

Remember the words of Jesus to the Samaritan woman?

Jesus offers, not a singular drink of water, but a perpetual artesian well! And the well isn’t a hole in your backyard but the Holy Spirit of God in your heart.

Water, in this verse, is a picture of the Spirit of Jesus working in us. He’s not working to save us, mind you; that work is done. He’s working to change us.
