HAPPY SATURDAY

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DS#6

AND OUR PRINCESS

May the dear Lord bless you both today and always !

Another cold and snowy day here. I don’t have to go outside until this evening when I go to see my Dad and I’m enjoying staying in and keeping warm.

All week long I have to get going early in the morning, so Saturday’s are pure pleasure.

Have a great day all. Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…STAY YOUNG FOREVER DAY

A Little Birthday Trivia

Traditionally, January 20 is considered a particularly good day for the birth of boys. Eighth-century Greek poet and philosopher Hesiod named each day as lucky or unlucky for certain activities, such as birthing, shipbuilding, and shearing sheep. A boy born on January 20 claims Aquarius as his astrological sign and possesses self-determination and eccentricity. Numerology gives him the number 2 (2 plus 0) for imagination. Ruled by the Moon, these boys may be more influenced by their feelings than by their thoughts.

FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC

TODAY’S SMILE

At the end of a series of lessons on the adventures of the Children of Israel, Johnny put up his hand and asked a question.

"Yes Johnny," said the teacher.

"There’s something I can’t work out. According to the Bible, the Children of Israel crossed the Red Sea."

 "Right."

"And the Children of Israel beat up the Philistines and built the Temple and did lots of other things too.

 "That’s right Johnny."

"Please tell me Sir then, what were all the grown ups doing?"

One more…

Coming out of church Mrs Peterson asked her husband, "Do you think that Johnson girl is dying her hair?" "I didn’t even notice her," admitted Mr Peterson.

"And that dress that Mrs Hansen was wearing," continued Mrs Peterson, Really, don’t tell me that you think that’s a proper outfit for a mother of two."

"I’m afraid I didn’t notice that either," replied a resigned Mr Peterson.

"Oh, For heavens sake," his wife snapped.

"A lot of good it does you to go to church!"

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord.

Psalm 121:1

We all need help from our fellow Christians, our friends, our families, and even well-meaning strangers. Above all, we need the help of our Lord as we go about our daily tasks, especially when we struggle to attend to our responsibilities and still find time for God

Offers of help can be an expression of God's love.
