TODAY’S QUOTE
Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.
Peter Ustinov
HAPPY THURSDAY!
Rain and more rain – that’s what the weather has looked like so far this week. A cool front has now come thru and our summer-like temps are gone. There are lots of leaves on the ground from the tree out front. It looks like a golden blanket covering the yard. Soon it’ll be bare, but other trees on our street haven’t even started to turn color yet.
I did hear from DS # 2 and he hopes to be coming home at Christmas time this year. It’s been about 3 years since he and his family have been home and it will be great to have them here.
And DS#3 sent a quick e-mail to let me know he’s out in California on a business trip this week. He says he’s enjoying the beautiful weather out there.
That’s the news from home today ! Take good care all !
Have a great day! Another wonderful one on the Way !!!
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior
GOD BLESS YOU !

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me
Philemon 1:11
I can't think of a worse insult than that.of calling someone useless. It's way past contemptuous and downright dismissive -- dismissive of a person's worth as a human being and dismissive of his redeeming value To call someone useless is to imply that he or she wouldn't be missed.
I can only imagine how Onesimus (he's the main subject of Paul's letter to a man named Philemon. ) must have felt when he read that sentence. That he, a runaway slave, worth only the work that he could do -- and once in the eyes of his master he was not even worth that, he was useless -- was now considered useful to the great apostle. His usefulness was hard for him to imagine, I'm sure, but thrilling to hear
God makes the useless useful
Even if no one else sees your value, Jesus does. Even if you don't notice it in yourself, he does.
