TODAY’S QUOTE

For tomorrow I hold no answers,

today is a gift and I will honor it by fully living in it.

HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY

We are back to rainy weather today, but I sure did enjoy the sunshine of the past two days . When I left for work yesterday morning it was cool and crisp. You could see the stars in the sky too ! It’s been so cloudy lately that even that was a treat ! Lots of cars had frost on them , but by early afternoon it was up in the 50’s.

The weekend ahead looks nice and quiet so hopefully I’ll get the house blessing all done. I only managed half of it last week. The only things I need to go out for is to go and get my flu shot Saturday morning and visit with my Dad in the evening and of course Church on Sunday morning..

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…WICKED WITCH DAY

Witches and Halloween just go together, but who is the most famous witch of all time? Here's a hint... She said, "I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog, too!". Yes, it's the Wicked Witch of the West from the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz. Nobody wants to dress up like Glenda the Good Witch. Halloween requires that black pointed hat and a good cackle

TODAY’S SMILE

Four blind men met an elephant one day. The first blind man grabbed the elephant's trunk. "An elephant is long, thin and flexible", he said.

"You are wrong", declared his friend, who had hold of the elephant's leg. It is tall and solid like a tree trunk. I can put my arms around the elephant."

"What are you two talking about?" asked the third blind man, who was feeling the elephant's side. "An elephant is large and flat andvery hard. An elephant is like a wall."

"You are all wrong!" cried the blind man who had grabbed the elephant's tail. "An elephant is like a piece of rope. I can hold it in one hand."

The four blind men continued to argue about the elephant. They did not realise that all of them were right and all of them were wrong. They did not know that they each had only part of the picture, not the whole.

How often have we all met with similar experiences in our own lives? We've all been in arguments in which all the participants had part of the truth only. We've all been in discussions in which each person was convinced that he or she had the full picture when in fact nobody did.

The putting together of pieces of a picture is interesting if we happen to be reading a detective story. We like to watch the detective pull together the threads of a story until he or she has a case. It's very different in real life. We all know people who are like the blind men; each determined to hold on to his own understanding.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.

I Corinthians 2:9

Our scripture today should fill you with joy and enthusiasm. If you are filled with anxiety, leave it behind and look forward to the good things God has prepared for you.. No matter the circumstances, God has good things prepared for you in the future, if you really love him and trust him.

I have found that when I put doubt aside and trust God completely, my patience is rewarded by blessings that I never expected.
