Life is a promise; fulfill it.

Mother Theresa

TODAY’S ACTION

TODAY’S QUOTE

People look at you and me to see what they are supposed to be. And, if we don't disappoint them, maybe, just maybe, they won't disappoint us.

Walt Disney

HAPPY WEDNESDAY !

OVER THE HUMP DAY !

Yesterday was another long 10 hour day at work. It was also dark and rainy again. Maybe that means the weekend will be sunny and bright. That would be a good thing!

I finally got out and purchased a new washer ! It will be delivered on Friday ! It looks like I’ll be doing laundry this coming weekend—no more excuses for me…

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU !

TODAY IS …GET A SLINKY DAY

Richard James was a naval engineer. He originally developed the Slinkyas an anti-vibration device for ship instruments in the early 1940s. But, when the Slinky didn't work for the Navy, his wife decided it should be turned into a toy. They picked out the name and decided to demonstrate it at Gimbels Department Store in Philadelphia in 1946. An hour and a half after the first demonstration, they had sold 400 Slinkys - and it went on to become one of the most successful toys of all time!

TODAY’S TRIVIA

Today is National Toasted Marshmallow Day.

1682: William Penn sailed from England on this day. He later established the colony of Pennsylvania

1936: Donald Duck first appeared in a comic strip. He already was a movie star. .

TODAY’S SMILE

Start your day off with a great big smile because every day should be a GREAT DAY.

Andy wants a job as a signalman on the railways. He is told to meet the inspector at the signal box.

The inspector puts this question to him: "What would you do if you realised that 2 trains were heading for each other on the same track?" Andy says, "I would switch the points for one of the trains."

"What if the lever broke?" asked the inspector. "Then I'd dash down out of the signal box," said Andy, "and I'd use the manual lever over there."

"What if that had been struck by lightning?" "Then," Andy continues, "I'd run back into the signal box and phone the next signal box."

"What if the phone was engaged?" "Well in that case," persevered Andy, "I'd rush down out of the box and use the public emergency phone at the level crossing up there."

"What if that was vandalised?" "Oh well then I'd run into the village and get my uncle Silas."

This puzzles the inspector, so he asks, "Why would you do that?"

Came the answer, "Because he's never seen a train crash."

TODAY’S LINK

Doo Wop Horses

Wait for the entire screen to load up with all four horses and a fence in front of them. Then click on each horse. Make sure your sound is on. Re-click on any horse to make it turn off or turn it back on again -- somebody did some real wizardry of programming to coordinate this! Try clicking on the horses from left to right then right to left then just one or two at a time... Do them in random order for some weird songs.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.

Isaiah 42:16

Here are some ways that God is working out His plan:

He is your Shepherd—He is leading you.

He is your Provider—He is taking care of you.

He is your Strength—He is enabling you.

He is your Counselor—He is speaking to you.

He is your Shield—He is protecting you.

He is your Comfort—He is encouraging you.

He is your Father—He is blessing you.
