 HAPPY WEDNESDAY

Yesterday it warmed up in the 70’s and then by evening we had some really strong thunderstorms. West and South of us they had funnel cloud sightings with high winds and trees downed. Today it’ll be a bit cooler, but sunny they say. That is in its self something to rejoice about !

I got a call from DS#6 and he has an illustration in this month’s Ohio Magazine, Here is the link if you’d like to take a look. http://www.ohiomagazine.com/ME2/Default.asp

Today is usually my busy day at work, but lately they’ve all been pretty much busy, I’m always thankful for that as the day seems to go by faster.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…STONE CARVERS DAY

Have you ever looked up and seen strange creatures clinging to the side of a building? Gargoyles have been around for thousands of years - a word that comes from "gargle" since a true gargoyle is a waterspout. Stone sculptors and carvers have been creating decorative works of art down through the ages. And, the Journeyman Stonecutters Association is the oldest active union in North America.

TODAY’S SMILE

The Alphabet Prayer

A little shepherd boy was watching his sheep one Sunday morning and he heard the bells of the church ringing. As he watched the people walk along the pasture where he was, he happened to think to himself, "I would like to communicate with God! But, what can I say to God?"

He had never learned a prayer. So, on bended knee, he began to recite the alphabet. Repeating this prayer several times, a man passing by, heard the boy's voice and peaked through the bushes. He saw the young boy kneeling with folded hands, eyes closed, repeating the alphabet.

He interrupted the boy. "What are you doing, my little one?" he asked. The boy replied, "I was praying sir." The man seemed surprised and said, "But why are you reciting the alphabet?" The boy explained, "I don't know any prayers, sir. But I want God to take care of me, and to help me care for my sheep. And so I thought, if I said all I knew, He could put the letters together into words, and He would know all that I want and should say!"

The man smiled and said, "Bless your heart, God will!" And he went on to church knowing full well that he had heard the finest sermon he could possibly hear that day.

VERY INSPIRING !

http://www.cryofthespirit.com/birdsing.html

No Sighting of God Today?

It cannot be, Maybe not that the naked eye may see.

But I discovered this very day,

That this was a day the Lord brought our way

The day did raise across the sky,

The birds across this day did fly.

The chirp and chip of each little song,

Made me know God was along.

And when I passed and heard a hymn,

Written by someone who knew Him then,

For He must have show Himself that day,

To the writer in a special way!

For I know when God we call upon,

With a heart that's true Believing on,

Then with that faith I hold so dear,

The one true God will then appear.

Then the air and ever possible space,

Is taken up with God in place!

TODAY’S REFLECTION

The memory of the righteous will be a blessing…

Proverbs 10:7

It is a blessing that have a good memory. It would be wonderful if we could add memory to our brain the way we add memory to computers. Instead we have to rely on ways to improve our memory.

We can't all be great at remembering, but the most important thing to remember is Jesus' commandment to "love your neighbor." When that kind of love is received, our poor memory will be forgiven.
