ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

MAY 3RD, 2007

TODAY'S THOUGHT

The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.

William Faulkner

TODAY’S ACTION

Have the faith to move mountains.

TODAY’S QUOTE

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot.

Michael Althsuler

HAPPY THURSDAY

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR ANGEL !

May the dear Lord bless you today and always !

In case you missed it the Full ‘Flower’ Moon was up there shining away yesterday morning. As it’s daylight now when I leave for work, I don’t get to see the full effects quite as much, but I did look out my window when it was still dark, and it was just beautiful.

Please pray today for one of my friends little great granddaughter who will have surgery today. And also please keep my Dad in your prayers. He is still in the hospital and hopefully today we’ll know a little more about what is wrong.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they performfor us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…GOOD POSTURE DAY

Good posture is more than just balancing a book on your head. It means keeping the three natural curves of your back in balance while standing, sitting or lying down. This is the most important thing we can do to help our backs stay healthy. It can prevent muscle pain, stiffness, tension and back injuries. And best of all... it's free!

TODAY’S TRIVIA

Let us join with brothers and sisters and pray for our nation and our planet, not just on this National Day of Prayer, but each and every day. Our God is utterly dependable.

Today is National Raspberry Popover Day

1937: Margaret Mitchell won a Pulitzer Prize for her novel, "Gone With the Wind.

1971: National Public Radio broadcast for the first time. National Public Radio was formed to educate, entertain and inform in ways that were not available elsewhere.

1977: Speckle the goose of Goshen, Ohio, laid history’s heaviest goose egg. It weighed 24 ounces, twice as much as the average goose egg.

1986: Dolly Parton’s "Dollywood" amusement park opened near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

2006: A study by Salary.com reported a full-time stay-at-home mother would earn $134,121 a year if paid for all her work. A mom who worked outside the home would earn an extra $85,876 annually on top of her actual wages for the work she did at home.

TODAY’S SMILE

Just up the road from my homeis a field with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if one stops the car, or is walking by, one will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.

His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. Listening, one will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, one will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her bridle is a small bell.

It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her. As one stands and watches these two friends, one sees how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is -- trusting that she will not lead him astray.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by God and those whom he places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, who watches over even a blind old horse, watch over us. Show us the way to You. Provide us with heavenly guides who will lead us to You through the fields of our lives. Amen.

The Longevity Game

This is pretty interesting. Watch the age prediction on the top left of the screen change as you answer the various questions. How long do you think that you will live?

(It says I’ll live to be 80)

TODAY’S REFLECTION

God does not want us to be in disorder but in harmony and peace

1 Corinthians 14:33

If we add some dirt and sand to a glass of water it becomes murky, dirty and looks awful. Give it a good shake and it gets even worse. If we leave the glass for a few hours, the water finds its own balance, the sand and silt fall to the bottom and the water becomes clear again.

This is where God always wants us to be. God never intentionally shakes the glass to unsettle us. Life is so unpredictable that the water in our glass can often be cloudy and unclear.

Every day we pray to God to bring harmony and peace into our lives. If this seems an impossible task for you today, then for you to know that others are gladly doing it on your behalf.

Harmony and peace are precious commodities. They're not for sale but flow from God abundantly.

Flowers spring forth in abundance this month. Some Algonquin tribes knew this full Moon as the Corn Planting Moon or the Milk Moon.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart
