TODAY'S THOUGHT

Or gather violets on some hill
Or touch a leaf or see a tree,
It's all God whispering,
"This is Me."

TODAY’S QUOTE

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
And Happy Birthday to DN#3
May the dear Lord Bless You today and always!
We had a nice sunny warm day here yesterday. It would have been a grand day for a picnic in the park but I was at work instead. This should be a quiet week with nothing on the calendar but work and then home again.
I’m still trying to get things done here in the evenings so that my weekend is free to stay with my Dad. This coming weekend is our Pumpkin’s 1st birthday party, but I won’t be able to go to it. I’ll be sending a gift his way instead. I do hate to miss out on family celebrations, but sometimes it just can’t be helped.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TODAY IS…Bikini Day
In 1946, Paris designer Louis Reard was ready to introduce a skimpy, two-piece swimsuit that didn't have a name. At the same time, the US began peacetime nuclear bomb testing on a chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean known as the Bikini Atoll. Wanting media attention for his new design, Reard decided to use the same name. Four days after the first bomb was dropped, the first model walked down the runway wearing a bikini.

TODAY’S SMILE
LETTER TO A TEACHER
He will have to learn, I know, that all men are not just, all men are not true. But teach him also that for every scoundrel there is a hero; that for every selfish Politician, there is a dedicated leader…
Teach him for every enemy there is a friend, Steer him away from envy, if you can, teach him the secret of quiet laughter. Let him learn early that the bullies are the easiest to lick…
Teach him, if you can, the wonder of books… But also give him quiet time to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and the flowers on a green hillside. In the school teach him it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat…
Teach him to have faith in his own ideas, even if everyone tells him they are wrong…
Teach him to be gentle with gentle people, and tough with the tough. Try to give my son the strength not to follow the crowd when everyone is getting on the band wagon…
Teach him to listen to all men… but teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth, and take only the good that comes through.
Teach him if you can, how to laugh when he is sad…
Teach him there is no shame in tears,
Teach him to scoff at cynics and to beware of too much sweetness…
Teach him to sell his brawn and brain to the highest bidders but never to put a price-tag on his heart and soul.
Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob and to stand and fight if he thinks he’s right.
Treat him gently, but do not cuddle him, because only the test of fire makes fine steel. Let him have the courage to be impatient… let him have the patience to be brave.
Teach him always to have sublime faith in himself, because then he will have sublime faith in mankind. This is a big order, but see what you can do…
He is such a fine little fellow, my son!
From a letter written by Abraham Lincoln to the Headmaster of a school in which his son was studying.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2
What positive faith the psalmist expresses! These are strong words — "rock, fortress, deliverer, shield, horn of salvation, stronghold."
When you think of God in those terms, how can you be afraid of the future?
Dear Lord, thank you for always being with me during the good times and the bad times. Amen.
TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC
Try a paste of baking soda and witch hazel for poison ivy.
22 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER !
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart
Psalm 37:4
May there be a miracle in YOUR life today and may you have the EYES to SEE it!
I Love You All !!!
Be Blessed !!!
