TODAY’S QUOTE

Most of us are just about as happy as we make up our minds to be.

Abraham Lincoln

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I wanted to update you on my friend’s great-granddaughter. She did come through the surgery just fine, but has other problems so will probably be in the hospital for about two more months. Thank you for praying and Please keep her and her parents in your prayers.

It is the best day of the week once more. I love Friday’s because it means the end of a work week. This one was a pretty good one thanks to all the sunshine that came our way.

Thanks be to our good Lord !

This weekend some of my family are camping, some are traveling, some are working and some are catching up on things around the home, I will be saying a little prayer for all of you !

And SPECIAL PRAYERS go out to all of you MOMS.

I’ll be going out to Dad’s as usual Saturday.

Tonight, after work, I hope to catch up on some things at home.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…TUPPERWARE DAY

Tupperware was invented by Earl Tupper - a chemist for DuPont. He thought polyethylene might be used as a household plastic. In 1945, he made his first item - a 7 oz tumbler. A year later, he started making bowls with vacuum sealed lids. House Beautiful magazine called his products "Fine Art for 39 Cents". In 1951, he came up with another new idea - home marketing. Hosting a Tupperware Party quickly became the rage all over the country.

Laws of Household Physics

Ever notice that the laws of household physics are every bit as real as every other law in the universe? Here are a few examples:

1. A child's eagerness to assist in any project varies in inverse proportion to the ability to actually do the work involved.

2. Leftovers always expand to fill all available containers plus one.

3. A newly washed window gathers dirt at double the speed of an unwashed window.

4. The availability of a ballpoint pen is inversely proportional to how badly it is needed.

5. The same clutter that will fill a one-car garage will fill a two-car garage.

6. Three children plus two cookies equals a fight.

7. The potential for disaster is in direct proportion to the number of TV remote controls divided by the number of viewers.

8. The number of doors left open varies inversely with the outdoor temperature.

9. The capacity of any hot water heater is equal to one and one- half sibling showers.

10. What goes up must come down, except for bubble gum, kites and slightly used Rice Krispies.

11. Place two children in a room full of toys and they will both want to play with the same toy

 TODAY’S REFLECTION

If Christ is in you, then the Spirit gives you life.

Romans 8:10

Receiving the unseen is not easy. Most Christians find the cross of Christ easier to accept than the Spirit of Christ. Good Friday makes more sense than Pentecost. Christ, our substitute. Jesus taking our place. The Savior paying for our sins. T

hese are astounding, yet embraceable, concepts. They fall in the arena of transaction and substitution, familiar terriroty for us. But Holy Spirit discussions lead us into the realm of the supernatural and unseen.

We grow quickly quiet and cautious, fearing what we can't see or explain. It helps to consider the Spirit's work from this angle.

What Jesus did in Galilee is what the Holy Spirit does in us. Jesus dwelt among the people, teaching, comforting, and convicting. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, teaching, comforting, and convincting.
