TODAY’S QUOTE

Every day we are given the opportunity to remake ourselves and to remake this world. No matter what our age we have the potential to grow and learn and change. No matter what our age, we have the potential to give and teach and enlighten.

Never stop making birthday wishes

HAPPY THURSDAY!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DDIL#5!

May the dear Lord bless you today and always!

Lots of news going on around our area.

Our levy for a new high school passed, of course that will mean more taxes, but it also means better learning conditions for our children and better working conditions for our teachers.

Also on the news was the big cut that Ford made and that effects our family as DSIL works there. We’ll be praying for his employment situation. And on the news  was the fact that Cedar Points’ new ride the Maverick is down until sometime early June as they need to make track modifications. My babe’s are all looking forward to a trip up there sometime early June.

Other than that life is quiet here, just trying to get some things done so that my weekend is free for spending time with my Dad. Last night was laundry night.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…BLOOD PRESSURE DAY

There is no ideal blood pressure reading, but there is a range of normal readings. Usually, a reading less than 140 over 90 means you don't need to worry. If either or both numbers are equal to or greater than 140 over 90 for an extended period of time, you have high blood pressure. This can be dangerous because it causes the heart to work extra hard. TODAY’S SMILE

Jimmie, an 80-year-old gentleman, retired to Florida after his wife of 58 years had passed away. He was quite alone in the world and longed for companionship.

One day, as he was walking through a public park, he spied what he considered to be a very pretty silver-haired lady sitting alone on a park bench. Getting his nerve up, he approached the lady and asked graciously, "Pardon me, maam, but may I sit here with you."

The silver-haired Marcia looked up to see a distinguished looking white-haired gentleman and replied, "Why certainly," and scooted over gently to give him room to sit down. For the next two hours the two sat and talked about everything.

They discovered that they came from the same part of the country, liked the same big band music, voted for the same presidential candidates, had had long happy marriages and lost their spouses in the last year, and in general agreed about almost everything.

Finally, the old gentleman cleared his throat and asked sheepishly, "Ma'am, may I ask you two questions?" With great anticipation Marcia replied, "Why certainly!"

The old gentleman removed a handkerchief from his coat pocket and spread it out on the ground before her. He very gingerly got down on one knee and looked her softly in the eyes. "Marcia, I know we've only known each other for a couple of hours, but we have so much in common. I feel I have known you all my life. Will you marry me and be my wife?"

Marcia grabbed at Jimmies hands and said, "Why, yes, I will marry you! You have made me so very happy!" She reached over and kissed him gently on the cheek.

Then Marcia said, "You said you had two questions to ask me. What is the second question?"

Jimmie scratched his neck and said, "Will you help me get up?"

TODAY’S WORD

TODAY’S REFLECTION

As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.

2 Chronicles 26:5. 1.

Successful people are dependent. They depend on the Lord to use their gifts in specific situations.

2.Successful people are less concerned with image than with accomplishment. God gets the glory. So many believe they must live up to a preconceived image of the "successful businessman." We are successful by being successful, not by living up to an image concocted by advertising executives.

3.Successful people are tenacious; they don't give up when an obstacle presents itself; they aren't vulnerable to criticism. They pray that the Lord will give the vision, stamina and perseverance to complete the projects before them.

4.Successful people focus on the goal, not the reward. They are winners, achievers and contributors. They strive toward the goal and leave the results to God.

5.Successful people do not accept all the credit. They realize almost every project requires more than one's personal effort staff support. A successful person give credit where credit is due. Romans 16:14.

6.Successful people redeem failures. Failure can indeed be an avenue to success. Who hasn't failed? Only oneJesus Christ. If we place our trust in Him, we will be able to redeem failures into successes.
