HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY!
Here we are – June – It’s bursting out all over !
It really does feel like summertime here.
I got a call from DS#6 last evening. In an effort to become more physically fit, he has either sprained or fractured his ankle. Of course it had to be the right one, so he’s unable to drive too. He’ll be having a MRI today, so I’ll be praying that it isn’t broken for sure. We’ll know more after the test is done.
As usual the weekend ahead will be spent with my Dad. He is doing about the same and still needs someone around to help him out.

Heads or Tails? It was Julius Caesar who started the practice of flipping a coin to make decisions. His own head was on one side of every Roman coin, so "heads" determined the winner in each flip. People thought "heads" meant that Caesar agreed with the decision. The coin flip was used in serious litigation involving property, marriage and even criminal guilt. Jesus gave us instructions for loving our neighbor: "If someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles" (Matthew 5:40-41).
Why do you suppose Jesus taught this? I believe it was to help us have the abundant life he promised. If you become angry and bitter, you'll end up with contention and heartache. But when you have a loving, giving spirit, you'll find that many people will return your kindness.
