TODAY’S QUOTE

I never had a policy; I have just tried to do my very best each and every day.

Abraham Lincoln

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Hope you are all doing well this morning ! I went to bed feeling like it was summertime last night. Our temperature got up to 80 degrees yesterday! Wow, maybe it will soon be time to put the flannels away!

I’m not sure what we’ll be expecting today as I haven’t checked out the weather yet, but one thing is for sure. There’s a smile on my face and sunshine in my heart no matter what the weather may bring.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…SAVE A RHINO DAY

The rhinoceros is between 35-65 million years old. They used to live in North America, but are now only found in Asia/Africa - and in zoos. They have poor eyesight, but a sharp sense of hearing and smell - and they can run up to 35 m.p.h. Their diet is made up of bulbs, grass and leaves, and they use their horns to help gather food. These horns grow about 1 inch a year and are more valuable than gold. They are sold for $30,000/pound.

TODAY’S SMILE

Did you hear about the farm family that had just moved into their new home in the city?

After a hard day's work, they all went to sleep, resting comfortably in their new home. Very early the next morning, their 3 year-old son ran into the parent's bedroom to wake them up. The mother dressed him and told him to play in the yard.

About 20 minutes later, he came running back. "Mommy, Mommy," he exclaimed, "Everybody has doorbells--and they all work!"

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24

TODAY’S WORD

gauche [GOSH]adjective

Lacking social polish; tactless.

Synonym awkward.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray.

Matthew 19:13

A young mother sent these lines to a magazine: "I wish I could wrap my children in bubble wrap to protect them from the big, bad world outside."

The desire to wrap our children in bubble wrap to protect them is rooted in fear, a common tendency, especially among mothers.

Wrapping them in prayer, as Jesus did (Matthew 19:13-15), is a powerful alternative. He cares more about our children than we do, so we can release them into His hands by praying for them.

He doesn't promise us that nothing bad will happen to them. But as we pray, He will give us the peace we long for (Philippians 4:6-7).

This challenge is for all parents—even those whose children have grown up: Don't ever stop wrapping your children in prayer!

Every child needs a praying parent.
