ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

TODAY'S THOUGHT
Kindness is free, so why not give some out?
TODAY’S ACTION
It's important to let others know that they are important, and someone wants to spend time with them. Most of all, let others know they are loved. Don't wait until someone passes or becomes ill to show that you appreciate and love them. Be present and live today to the fullest.
TODAY’S QUOTE
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either he will shield you from suffering, or he will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then. Put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
St. Francis de Sales
HAPPY TUESDAY!
Monday was sunny and beautiful ! We’ll see what today brings.
I always look forward to a new day and all the joys that it will bring. I’ve found that most of the time each one is better than the next.
Things may not be perfect of course, we haven’t got to heaven yet, but each one is a gift to be opened and enjoyed.
I’m sipping the good coffee here and will be off to work as usual .
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time ofneed. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TODAY IS…COKE A COLA DAY
Coca-Cola was invented in May, 1886, by Dr. John Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia. The name came from his bookkeeper who wrote it out in the script that is famous today. They sold the drink at a soda fountain with no profits the first year. The business was sold to Asa Candler for $2,300, but it was a Mississippi candy store owner who thought of bottling drinks in the back room.
In 1899, large-scale bottling began, and today more than 834 million drinks are sold each day.

How To Stay Young and Happy!
Throw out all the non-essential numbers... This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them -- that is why you pay him.
Keep only cheerful friends... The grouches pull you down. If you really need a grouch, there are Probably a few of your relatives to do the job. Keep learning...
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Just never let your brain idle.
Laugh often, long and loud... Laugh until you gasp for breath. Laugh so much that you can be tracked in the store by your Distinctive laughter.
The tears happen... Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with you your entire life is yourself. Surround yourself with what you love, Whether it is family, pets, keepsakes, Music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
Cherish your health... If it is good -- preserve it. If it is unstable -- improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve -- get help.
Don't take guilt trips... Go to the mall, the next county, a foreign country ... but not to guilt.
Tell the people you love that you Love them, at every opportunity.
And remember that Life is not measured By the number of breaths we take... but by the moments that Take our breath away!

TODAY’S REFLECTION
To stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening.
I Chron. 23:30
A few years ago, a radio station ran a contest. Disc jockeys invited their listeners to tune in their clock radios. "Just for fun," they said, "when you wake up to the sound of FM-106, call and tell us the first words you spoke when you rolled out of bed. If you're the third caller, you'll win $106
It was a funny contest and drew a considerable audience. One morning, however, the third caller said something unusual. The station phone rang. "Good morning, this is FM-106. You're on the air. What did you say when you rolled out of bed this morning?"
A voice with a Bronx accent replied, "You want to know my first words in the morning?" The bubbly DJ said, "Yes, sir! Tell us what you said."
The Bronx voice responded, "Shema, Israel ... Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might."
There was a moment of embarrassed silence. Then the radio announcer said, "Sorry, wrong number," and cut to a commercial.
All of this is intended to make you stop and think. What were the first words you spoke when you got out of bed this morning? http://www.tftd-online.com
