ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

MARCH 28th, 2007

TODAY'S THOUGHT

Nature awakens and reechoes in springtime.

Lionel Bruce Kingery

TODAY’S ACTION

Pause to admire the world.

TODAY’S QUOTE

You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down but the staying down.

Mary Pickford

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

I am home from a wonderful trip and it’s back to reality and work today. I got home yesterday afternoon and was amazed at the warm weather we are having in Ohio. The temperature felt almost like it did when I left from down south that morning.

We did have a beautiful trip down and the weather was summer-like the whole time I was there. DS#4 had just put in a new deck and I spent a lot of time outside. We also did a lot of site seeing and walking. I got the exercise I badly needed.

It was great to see everyone! I’ll be posting some pictures on my journal page.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…GARDEN SEED DAY

Mistress Mary, quite contrary.

How does your garden grow?

Fine for a nursery rhyme, but gardening is lots of fun. Just get a spade, a pair of gloves and a good hat. Check out your growing zone. Decide what to plant, where to plant it and when. There won't be a single contrary gardener in sight.

Hot Tip: Easy seeds to grow.... Cosmos!

ANGELS FROM A KIDS PERSPECTIVE

I only know the names of two angels — "Hark" and "Harold" ... Gregory, Age 5

All angels are girls because they gotta wear dresses and boys didn't go for it. Antonia, Age 9

My guardian angel helps me with math, but he's not much good for science. Henry, Age 8

What I don't get about angels is why, when someone is in love, they shoot arrows at them. Sarah, Age 7

Angels live in cloud houses made by God's son, who's a very good carpenter. Jared, Age 8

I hear angels all the time in my dreams. And I'm sticking with that no matter how many people tell me I'm crazy. Molly, Age 8

When an angel gets mad, he takes a deep breath and counts to ten. And when he lets out his breath, somewhere there's a tornado. Regan, Age 10

Angels have a lot to do and they keep very busy. If you lose a tooth, an angel comes in through your window and leaves money under your pillow. Then when it gets cold, angels go north for the winter. Sara, Age 6

Everybody's got it all wrong. Angels don't wear halos anymore. I forget why but scientists are working on it. Olive, Age 9

Some of the angels are in charge of helping heal sick animals and pets. And if they don't make the animals get better, they help the kid get over it. Vicki, Age 8

UNKNOWN

Lord…where we are wrong, make us willing to change, and where we are right, make us easy to live with.

Peter Marshal

TODAY’S WORD

ar·cane adjective.

Known or understood by only a few: arcane economic theories. Synonym mysterious.

Then just as quickly, the two women resumed their arcane discussion.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me -- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father -- and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:14-15

Jesus set the example for us, for he was always in touch with his Father. Jesus always took time for prayer. When we are in prayerful harmony with the Lord, we can be certain that he will guide us in all that we do.

Instead of our lives being filled with anxiety and fear, our Shepherd will lead us to peace and joy.

TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC

Polish your floor with club soda to make it sparkle.

 85 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER !

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

I Love You All !!!

Be Blessed !!!
