TODAY’S QUOTE

Today is the day when bold kites fly, When cumulus clouds roar across the sky. When robins return, when children cheer, When light rain beckons spring to appear.

Robert McCracken

HAPPY TUESDAY

And HAPPY SPRING !

The day I’ve been waiting for has finally come. The sun is supposed to shine here, but we’ll be lucky to get out of the 30’s. Still a bit on the chilly side.

Yesterday we started the day off with a mixture of Snow and rain/Sleet and I found out that my front steps were coated with ice when I got home from work.

Opps!

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU !

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…It’s Spring Day

It's the vernal equinox - the time of year that symbolizes the change to spring. With the sun positioned right over the equator, the day and night are about equal in length around the world. (Equinox means "equal night".) From now until September, there will be longer and warmer days in the Northern Hemisphere, so.... Spring has sprung!

TODAY’S TRIVIA

Spring begins today at 8:07 p.m. EDT in the Northern Hemisphere; autumn begins in the Southern Hemisphere. Day and night are equal.

Today is the day pigeons return to courthouse in Ft. Wayne, Indiana

National Bubble Week begins today, a great time to have fun outdoors with children and bubbles

It was on this day in 1852 that Harriet Beecher Stowe’s classic book was published. Uncle Tom’s Cabin, subtitled Life Among the Lowly became an instant success, selling 300,000 copies in its first year. It has since been translated into twenty languages and performed as a play the world over.

1891 - The first computing scale company was incorporated in Dayton, OH. Look around antique stores and you may find some of the old -- and possibly still working -- Dayton Scales. There were other famous scales, too, that were direct from Ohio, ‘the birthplace of weights and measures’. Remember Toledo Scales for weighing fruit and produce in grocery stores?

1967 - Fashion model, Twiggy, arrived in the United States for a one-week stay. She quickly became the most sought-after subject of photographers due to her terrifically skinny-yet-wholesome good looks and the shortest dresses ever seen (to that time).

TODAY’S SMILE

ADAM PICKING A PARTNER

God had just finished creating Adam. God said to him "Adam, I want you to pick out a partner from any of the animals in the garden." So Adam looked around trying to find a mate. After a few minutes Adam said to God "God, none of these animals will do."

So God made a woman for Adam. Adam looked at the woman and said to God "God, why did you make her so beautiful?" God replied "So you will like her Adam."

Adam said, "But God, she is just SO beautiful why is she so beautiful?"

"So you will like her" God replied.

Then Adam asked, "But God, why did you make her so stupid?" God replied "So she will like you."

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Luke 14:11

TODAY’S REFLECTION

God’s peace…will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

 Philippians 4:7

Worry come from the Greek word that means “to divide the mind.” Anxiety splits us right down the middle, creating a double-minded thinker. Rather than take away tomorrow’s trouble, worry voids today’s strength.

Paul offers a two-pronged answer: God’s part and our part.

Our part includes prayer and gratitude. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Phil. 4:6)

God’s part? “If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand” (Phil. 4:7)
