TODAY’S QUOTE

Yes, I have doubted. I have wandered off the path. I have been lost. But I always returned. ... My faith has wavered but has saved me.

Helen Hayes

HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY DAY

We’ve had strange weather this week. Right now we are back to winter and more snow is headed our way today.

It turns out that DD was in the middle of that tornado we had yesterday. She was in her evening class and didn’t even know what was going on until the lights went out.. It passed right over the building she was in. Thank the good Lord.

I think this weekend will be a quiet one. Saturday at my Dad’s and Sunday at church then home for ‘catch up’ day.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…TUMBLEWEED DAY

Prairie tumberweeds are really Russian thistle - hitchhiking its way to the U.S. during the 1800s inside bags of imported Russian grain. Farmers happily planted it. They thought it would make good livestock feed, but... wrong. Besides blowing down the highway, tumbleweeds are only good for creating that "Southwest" look.

TODAY’S SMILE

I recently heard a young child pray, "Dear God, please bless my mommy and daddy... and Jesus, take good care of Yourself. If anything happens to You, we're sunk."

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. -Job 12:7

TODAY’S WORD

futile \FYOO-tul\ adjective

1 : serving no useful purpose : completely ineffective

2 : occupied with trifles : frivolous

Unfortunately, all efforts to repair the damage ultimately proved futile.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

Luke 11:13

Jesus told a story of a man who went to his neighbor's house at midnight to borrow food because he didn't have enough for an unexpected visitor. The neighbor complained about the lateness of the hour, but gave him the food, not just because he was his friend, but because his neighbor was bold enough to pester him.

Then Jesus says that if we ask God for help with a problem, he will give us the strength and courage to get through that problem. Jesus ended his lesson with today's scripture.

God's answer may not be what we think we need, but the Holy Spirit will give us guidance to tackle the difficulty
