TODAY’S QUOTE

If you can find a path with no obstacles it probably doesn't lead anywhere.

Frank Clark

HAPPY WEDNESDAY !

OVER THE HUMP DAY !

Yesterday the sunshine did peep out very briefly and very faintly . Today the rain is moving in again. Hopefully we won’t have too much of it.

Every evening I’ve been working on my ‘to do ‘ list and slowly , very slowly things are getting done around here.

Those in my family  will be pleased to hear that I actually threw out two bags of ‘stuff’ when the trash went out on the curb Monday night. I have way too much ‘stuff’

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the way!

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…CLEAN OUT THE FRIDGE DAY

It's not The Blob - It's not Ghostbuster's Slime - It's the leftovers in your refrigerator and now... they have a life of their own! Get them before they get you!

TIP: An open box of baking soda will get rid of that smell!

1904 - One of Broadway’s most famous phrases was uttered for the first time. Ethel Barrymore, appearing in the play, Sunday, spoke the famous line, “That’s all there is. There isn’t any more,” as the curtain fell.

1980 - After years of success on the music charts with the New Christy Minstrels and the First Edition, Kenny Rogers got his first #1 song. Lady, written by Lionel Richie, stayed at the top for six weeks.

TODAY’S SMILE

An old Grandfather said to his grandson, who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice. "Let me tell you a story..."

"I too, at times, have felt great hate for those who have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It's like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times."

"It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way."

"But ... the other wolf ... ah! The littlest thing will send him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all of the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing."

"Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather ?"

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, "The one I feed."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Out of the same mouth come phrasing and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.

James 3:10

Did your mother ever tell you to watch your mouth? I have to be careful not to offend somebody with words said too quickly You actually praise God when you speak words of encouragement to a family member or friend. But when you hurt someone with your words, you hurt God.
