HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY
BRRRRCHILL !
How cold is it ? Try 35 with windchills of 22 degrees Too cold for me that’s for sure. East of us in the SNOW Belt they were expecting 1-4 inches overnight. We hopefully will only get a flurry or two.
I’ve been watching the progression of the seasons as I travel back and forth to work. We have a nice little apple farm nearby that also sells veggies in season. Not so very long ago they were selling corn. Then of course came the apples. , then pumpkins and squashes of lots of different varieties
Yesterday afternoon I saw a truck hauling 2 large wagons back to their place. I thought may be it was more apples but no – it was potatoes. Lots and lots of them!
Most of the trees are bare, with just a few scattered here and there still providing us with a little color for the dreary days ahead.
I read an article that said where the places are that have the least sunlight during the year. Seattle and Maine were on the tops of the list, I’m certainly glad I don’t live there, I’m already going into hibernation mode!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
TODAY IS…SANDWICH LOVERS DAY
We honor John Montague, born in 1718, the Fourth Earl of Sandwich. Said to have been an avid gambler, he invented the sandwich as a time-saving way to eat while involved in a 24 hour card playing session. We like them because there are no dirty dishes!
TODAY’S TRIVIA
1917: The price of a first-class U.S. postage stamp was increased to three cents.
1952: A supermarket in Chester, New York, offered history’s first frozen bread for sale, using a Birdseye quick-freeze process. It didn’t catch on, but Clarence’s frozen peas, introduced the same day, are still selling.
1956 - The classic MGM film, The Wizard of Oz, was first seen on television. The film cost CBS $250,000 to show. The movie was shown 18 times between 1956 and 1976, and you can probably catch it again no matter what year it is.
TODAY’S SMILE
MUCH OLDER HORSES
At a Milwaukee post office, a woman complained to the clerk that a Pony Express rider could get a letter from Milwaukee to St. Louis in two days, and now it takes three. "I'd like to know why," she scoffed. The clerk thought about it for a moment, then his face brightened and he replied, "The horses are a lot older now?"
MEMORY IMPROVEMENT
I knew that as I was getting older, and finally able to admit it, certain things were starting to "slip". In an effort to prevent this "slippage", I went enthusiastically to a three-hour seminar on memory improvement.
After an hour I slipped out, I took the same course, given by the same professor, last year.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there.' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20
It is not our faith that will move the mountain, it is the power of God. Our faith, however, is necessary. There is tremendous power in a little faith when God is with us.
If you are facing a mountain of difficulties, turn your eyes away from the mountain. Look instead at Christ.
We believe the task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
