HAPPY TUESDAY
I heard from the ‘Sunshine Babes’ and they are home safe and sound once more and DS#4 had a really good surprise at work Monday – they gave him a very nice raise in pay. That was a very welcome surprise! Thank the good Lord for his many blessings !
Tonite is our monthly Dulcimer get together and other than that the week ahead looks pretty quiet. I plan to wrap a little each evening and also paint a little. If it wasn’t for the holidays and special celebrations, I’d get very lazy, so it’s a good thing that I have something to keep me busy.
Here is our Family Picture – Thanksgiving 2006
Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. God Bless You !
TODAY IS…POLAROID CAMERA DAY
Ok, who knows why they are called Land cameras? And, no, it's not because they don't work underwater. They are named after Edwin Land, the man who invented the process of instant photography.
Question of the day... When was the Polaroid invented?
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is National French Toast Day.
1592: Abahai, Manchurian leader; established Ch'ing dynasty
1925: The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville's famed home of country music, made its radio debut on station WSM
1948: Edward Land's instant camera went on sale.
1991: In a panic, a California turkey carver called the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line and screamed that there was no breast meat on his Butterball. Phone helper Jean Schnelle suggested he might have the bird upside-down. She was right, he did.
TODAY’S SMILE
In the presence of trouble, some people grow wings;
others buy crutches.
Anonymous.
A legend is told of the time when God placed wings on the backs of the feeble birds and they protested loudly to Him, "Must we be burdened with this weight?"
The Lord smiled and asked them to wait a week. The next day a strange thing happened. A force of some kind lifted them heavenward and the birds found themselves flying and floating, and enjoying a sensation they had never felt before.
When the week passed they reappeared before the Lord and humbly acknowledged the wisdom of their Father. "These very wings which we ridiculed as unnecessary burdens we now cherish. They enable us to soar into the loftiest heights!"
We may be at the end of our rope, and that is exactly when God reaches down and pulls that very rope--and us--up to Him.

A SPAM ALERT FOR YOU TODAY
To whom it all concerns:
Just a word to the wise. E-mail petitions are NOT acceptable to Congress or any other municipality. To be acceptable petitions must have a signed signature and full address.
ALMOST ALL e-mails that ask you to ADD YOUR NAME and FORWARD ON TO OTHERS are similar to that mass letter years ago that asked people to send business cards to the little kid in Florida who wanted to break the Guinness Book of Records for the most cards. All it was, and all this type of e-mail is, is to get names and "COOKIE" tracking info for TELE-MARKETERS and SPAMMERS to validate active e-mail accounts for their own purposes.
Any time you see an e-mail that says forward this on to "10" of your friends, sign this petition, or you'll get good luck, or whatever, has either an email tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and e-mails of those folks you forward to, or the host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of "active" e-mails to use in spam e-mails, or sell to others that do.
Please let others know and you will be providing a good service to your friends and will be rewarded by not getting 30,000 spam e-mails in the future.
I got this message from a friend and thought it might be a good thing to pass on

(I try never to forward anything, but copy and paste it into my own e-mail)
TODAY’S REFLECTION
...with the measure of faith God has given you.
Romans 12:3b
You can add memory to a computer, so that it is able to work better. But you just can't order up more faith. You have to use and develop the measure of faith God gave you. Then your faith grows stronger.
Do you want strong faith? Then use your faith to trust God in the hard places of life. When the going is rough, go to God in prayer, believing that he will hear. Use your measure of faith and life will be more fruitful.
