HAPPY FRIDAY

Christmas in the Colonies Day!

We always take this day to go back in time a little and attend the old fashioned craft show and then visit the Candle Factory. The weather promises to be great and all together there will be 9 of us going so we’ll take two cars.

Here’s the links that show where it is we are going http://www.christmasinthecolonies.com/

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…NATIVE AMERICAN DAY!

In recognition of the significant contributions the first Americans have made to the establishment and growth of our Nation.

TODAY’S TRIVIA

TOP TEN SIGNS YOU MAY NOT BE READING YOUR BIBLE ENOUGH:

 10) The Preacher announces the sermon is from Galatians....and you check the table of contents.

9) You think Abraham, Isaac & Jacob may have had a few hits during the 60's.

8) You open to the Gospel of Luke and a WWII Savings Bond falls out.

7) Your favorite Old Testament Patriarch is Hercules.

6) A small family of woodchucks has taken up residence in the Psalms.

5) You become frustrated because Charlton Heston isn't listed in either the Concordance or the Table of Contents.

4) Catching the kids reading the Song of Solomon, you demand: "Who gave you this trash?"

3) You think the Minor Prophets worked in the quarries.

2) You keep falling for it every time when Pastor tells you to turn to First Condominiums.

And finally, the number one sign that you may not be reading your Bible enough:

1) The kids keep asking too many questions about your usual bedtime story: "Jonah the Shepherd Boy and His Ark of Many Colors." You can't figure out what makes them laugh!

TODAY’S REFLECTION

How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have at the presence of our God because of you?

I Thessalonians 3:9

In today's scripture, Paul is thanking his Christian friends. He tells them that he is in the presence of God because of them.

Do you have family members or friends that continue to support you with their love and kindness? Do you let them know that you appreciate them? Maybe this would be a good day to say thanks with a phone call or note.
