HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY

It was a beautiful day yesterday ! I think today is supposed to be a pretty good one too ! Last day of the work week for me and I’m always glad of that.

Thankfully the weekend is here again ! There is a list a mile long waiting for me and as always it will be a busy Saturday and Sunday.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…TOOTHPASTE DAY

The first known toothpaste was made by Egyptian physicians in 2000 B.C. They mixed powdered pumice stone with wine vinegar and brushed it on with a chewing stick. The Romans later used human urine instead of wine because they thought it whitened the teeth. They were right. Urine continued to be used in toothpasteand mouthwash until the 18th century. Modern toothpastes use ammonia to get the same cleaning action today.

TODAY’S TRIVIA

1911:The Carnegie Corporation of New York is established, the first of the great foundations for scholarly and charitable works.

1969: Twenty years after the first release of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", Gene Autry received a gold record for the single on this day

1969: The classic, "Sesame Street" debuted on 170 Public Broadcasting Stations and 20 commercial outlets. Created by the Children's Television Workshop, the show starred endearing characters including Gordon, Susan, Bob, Bert, Ernie, the Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch and, of course, Big Bird!

TODAY’S SMILE

I just guess i'm older than dirt!

My Dad was cleaning out my grandma's house and he brought me an old Royal Crown Cola bottle. In the bottle top was a stopper with a bunch of holes in it. I knew immediately what it was, but my daughter had no idea. She thought they had tried to make it a salt shaker or something. I knew it as the bottle that sat on the end of the ironing board to "sprinkle" clothes with because we didn't have steam irons. Man, I am old!!

YOU'RE NOT OLD UNLESS YOU CAN REMEMBER...

...when Kool-Aid was the only other drink for kids, other than milk and sodas. ...when a dime was a decent allowance, and a quarter a huge bonus. (And penny candy?)

...when you got your windshield cleaned, oil checked, and gas pumped, without asking, for free, every time. (And gas was 19 cents a gallon?)

TODAY’S WORD

ex·on·er·ate transitive verb

1. To free from blame. 2. To free from a responsibility, obligation, or task.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Love...always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

1 Corinthians 13:7.

Is this possible? What a long time Always is and for everyone and everything in our life!

Imagine, always enduring wrongs and evils; always believing only the best of others; always hoping, even when facts and faces appear hopeless; always recommencing and recompensing ...

Graces such as these grow in the time, thought and prayer we give them. It is a rare youth who understands, much less covets, what slows him in his rush to live. But the older person looks back and knows love and what it encompasses is indeed the true victory.

TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC

To cure a wart, find a piece of chalk, rub it on the wart, and throw it away.

41 DAYS UNTIL WINTER !

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

I Love You All !!!

Be Blessed !!!
