TODAY’S QUOTE
One of the deepest impulses is the impulse to record, to scratch a drawing on something, to etch a name on a tree, to rub a stone off a wall or to keep a diary. This instinct of recording the present into the past is the very basis of civilization

HAPPY SATURDAY
Today is going to be a busy one. DS#6 and his wife are in town as she had an orthodontist appointment this morning and after that, they are coming by to get me and DS#5 and we are going to visit DS#3 and his family. That means I’ll finally get to meet ‘The Pumpkin’.
Then we’ll be coming home in time to go out to my Dad’s for the usual Saturday evening visit, so needless to say not a lot is getting done at my house today. Visiting with family is more important than house work anyway!
Hope you all have a great day !
Another wonderful one on the Way.
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders. Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY’S SMILE
The new family in the neighborhood overslept, and their six-year-old daughter missed her school bus. The father, though late for work, had to drive her if she'd direct him to the school.
They rode several blocks before she told him to turn the first time, several more before she indicated another turn. This went on for 20 minutes - but when they finally reached the school, - it proved to be only a short distance from their home.
The father, much annoyed, asked his daughter why she'd led him around in such a circle.
The child explained, "That's the way the school bus goes, Daddy. It's the only way we know how to go to school.
(don’t we all take the long way around sometimes, just because it’s the only way we know)

TODAY’S REFLECTION
John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.
John 5:35
Jesus called John the Baptist a lamp that burned and gave light. John was just a man who believed and trusted God. But God gave him an important role in God's scenario. You have an opportunity to be a lamp that burns and gives light. All you have to do is be available. God will guide you to light the way for others. And you will find that your way becomes brighter also
