ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

MAY 3rd, 2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.

Charles Dickens

TODAY’S ACTION

Never lose a chance of saying a kind word.

TODAY’S QUOTE

Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become endless.

J Paolinetti

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR ANGEL!

May our dear Lord Bless YOU now and always !

I can’t say enough wonderful words about my ‘new to me’ kitchen. I’ve got a spot for everything and it’s good to feel organized. The kitchen is, however, one of the few organized spaces I have here. Now I’ll have to work on the rest of the rooms.

I did manage to finally get the flannel sheets off my bed – I think the weather is warm enough now for regular ones. Thankfully the furnace hasn’t had to run for a few days now! And hopefully the air conditioner won’t be needed much this summer

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS GOOD POSTURE DAY

Good posture is more than just balancing a book on your head. It means keeping the three natural curves of your back in balance while standing, sitting or lying down. This is the most important thing we can do to help our backs stay healthy. It can prevent muscle pain, stiffness, tension and back injuries.

And best of all... it's free

TODAY’S SMILE

An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He got fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed him to hear 100%. He went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again."

To which the gentleman said, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times already

TODAY’S WORD

1. Lacking liveliness, animation, or interest; dull: vapid conversation.

2. Lacking taste, zest, or flavor; flat: vapid beer

TODAY’S REFLECTION

The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.

Matthew 13:22

Jesus was telling the story of the seeds that fell on the different kinds of ground. The seed that fell among thorns could describe many of us. It isn't easy to follow Christ, for there are so many things that lure us away from his path

Our lives become so filled with work, care of our family and our recreational wishes that we find we simply haven't enough time.

If we make time for Bible study and Christian fellowship , our efforts will be blessed.
