MAY 10TH , 2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

There is no key to happiness—the door is always open.

Anonymous

TODAY’S ACTION

Never dwell on bitterness, anger and despair

TODAY’S QUOTE

Write down in sand all the bad news and write down in granite all your good news

Old Saying

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

And Happy Birthday to DDIL#6

May the dear Lord bless you today and always!

Not only was I so very blessed to have 7 wonderful children , but I also have 6 DDIL’s and 1 DSIL.

I’m off to work once again, but it’s supposed to rain later today, so I won’t feel quite so bad being indoors all day.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS BLOOD PRESSURE DAY

There is no ideal blood pressure reading, but there is a range of normal readings. Usually, a reading less than 140 over 90 means you don't need to worry. If either or both numbers are equal to or greater than 140 over 90 for an extended period of time, you have high blood pressure. This can be dangerous because it causes the heart to work extra hard. Check your's today!

TODAY’S SMILE

After putting her children to bed, a mother changed into old slacks and a worn out blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her tolerance grew thin.

At last she put a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with severe warnings. While leaving the room, she overheard her three-year-old say with a shaky voice, "Who was 'that'?

Young at Heart.

Slightly Older in Other Places.

TODAY’S WORD

1. Impressively great in size, force, or extent; enormous: a prodigious storm. 2. Extraordinary; marvelous: the young Mozart's prodigious talents. 3. Obsolete. Portentous; ominous

TODAY’S REFLECTION

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.

Psalm 33:18

We are all God's children and it is comforting to know that he is keeping his eye on us, but it can also lead to dismay, if we are doing something we'd like to hide from him. But the psalmist goes on to say that our hope "is in his unfailing love." Like the father of the prodigal son, when we turn from sinful ways and ask forgiveness, God will be there to wrap his arms around us and forgive.
