HAPPY MONDAY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DS#4

May the dear Lord bless you today and always!

Another long distance birthday to celebrate ! When DS#4 was born, DD thought for sure he’d be a little sister for her to play with, but she got another brother and there were two more to follow after that! 6 boys and 1 girl were given to me and they all have been blessed gifts from God.

Each one is so unique and special.

There are very few months of the year that we don’t have a birthday to celebrate !

The week ahead looks to be a pretty quiet one. It will be a short one as I have a vacation day on Friday.

Sunday I’ll be going to visit the babes at the campground after church.

As it will be Memorial Day weekend I’ll have a four day weekend to get things done around here. I know there will be yard work, the front porch to clean up and get ready for summer and maybe even a little Spring house cleaning to do.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS…HERBAL GARDEN DAY

Herbs have been used for food and medicine since prehistoric times. About 25% of the prescription drugs sold in the U.S. are plant based - and many more are included in over-the-counter drugs. But, herbs aren't just for medicinal use today. They are fun to grow, add interesting flavors to your cooking and are a staple in natural crafts

TODAY’S SMILE

While handing a 25 cent-off coupon to the supermarket clerk at the checkout counter, a woman inadvertently missed her hand, and the coupon slipped beneath the scale and was gone.

Thechecker looked distressed, so the woman said, “That’s Okay, it’s in coupon heaven now.” “Coupon heaven?”, the checker said. “Yes”, the woman said, “That’s where coupons go when they die.”

“Only the redeemed ones!”, said the checker

Gender Bender

NICKNAMES: If Gloria, Suzanne, Debra and Michelle go out for lunch, they will call each other Gloria, Suzanne, Debra and Michelle.

EATING OUT: And when the check comes, Mike, Phil, Rob and Jack will each throw in a $20 bill, even though the total is only $22.50. None of them will have anything smaller, and none will actually admit they want change back.

TODAY’S WORD

TODAY’S REFLECTION

This is my commandment, love one another as I have loved you.

 John 15:9

No one can give love unless they first receive it. We are reminded in our gospels that all love comes from God. Where love is God is and where God is love will always be. It is easy to undervalue or underestimate love in all its shapes and forms.

The smallest gesture of kindness done out of love may seem totally insignificant and hardly worth the effort. But to someone else it could make all the difference in the world.

Loveis God's greatest gifts to us. May we always treasure it and and know that God's love opens up so many possibilities each day.
