HAPPY SUNDAY

I’m a little late with my newsletter this morning as I spent the night out at my Dad’s . He wasn’t’ feeling quite up to par and I felt better staying over with him. My sister had spent the night before with him too. This morning he says he feels pretty good ! So I came home. Now I’m off to the shower and then to Church.

Take good care all !

Have a great day another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS…TUBA PLAYERS DAY

Tuba (Latin for "trumpet") is the lowest pitched of the brass wind instruments. It was patented in 1835 by the Prussian bandmaster Friedrich Wieprecht and the German builder Johann Moritz. A variation was created by German composer Richard Wagner for his Ring cycle of operas - and John Philip Sousa comissioned a version for his march music that is now called the sousaphone. While the basic design remains the same, the number of different types of tubas today is amazing

TODAY’S SMILE

A salesman was going door to door trying to sell his wears. As he walked up to the next house, he noticed a small boy sitting on the front steps. Is your mother home?" the salesman asked the small boy. "Yeah, she's home," the boy said, scooting over to let him past. The salesman rang the doorbell, got no response, knocked once, then again. Still no one came to the door. Turning to the boy, the fellow said, "I thought you said your mother was home!?" The kid replied, "She is; but this isn't where I live. People have one thing in common: they are all different

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

I Corinthians 9:25

You can pray to become a great musician, but you have to practice. You can pray to become a doctor or lawyer, but it takes years of study. God will give you the faith and the strength, but only you can tackle "the strict training." Paul tells us that this applies to our spiritual living
