Taps
Day is done
Gone the sun
From the Lakes
From the hills
From the sky.
All is well,
Safely rest.
God is nigh.
Fading light
Dims the sight
And a star
Gems the sky,
Gleaming bright
From afar,
Drawing nigh,
Falls the night.
Thanks and praise,
For our days,
Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord! And let perpetual light shine upon them! May they rest in peace! Amen. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
Amen
I have posted pictures on my journal page of yesterday’s CAMP visit.
Have a great day all! Another Wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS…PAPER CLIP DAY
Fastening papers together started in the 13th century when a short length of ribbon was placed through parallel cuts in the upper left handcorner of pages. It was almost 600 years later before anybody improved on this ribbon fastener. In 1899, Johan Vaaler, an inventor in Norway, patented the paper clip - and it's been used in more ways than you think. During the five-year Nazi occupation of World War II, Norwegians weren't allowed to wear buttons imprinted with the king's initials. Loyal Norwegians wore paper clips to symbolized solidarity and oppose the occupation

TODAY’S REFLECTION
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
Proverbs 10:7
On Memorial Day in the United States, thousands of people visit cemeteries and monuments to remember and honor their loved ones. They ponder a name carved in stone and recall the person for whom it stands
This kind of reflection on the lives of those who have gone before us can encourage us to evaluate the way we are living today
By our attitudes and actions, we are creating the memories that will be associated with our names in life and in death The memory of a faithful life speaks more eloquently than words.
