TODAY'S THOUGHT

We become what we think about

TODAY’S QUOTE

There was never a good war or a bad peace.

HAPPY FRIDAY !

I heard from DDIL#2 that DS#2 was able to be home for one short day in between assignments. He’s done with the job in Honduras and is leaving for the next…I’m sure he’s looking forward to the end of this duty and when he can stay home with his family for awhile. I’ll be praying for his safe journey !

Last day of the work week and it looks like a normal weekend here. The only thing that I have to do is take the car for an oil change on Saturday morning .

Take good care all ! Have a great day !

Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS MUSEUM LOVERS DAY

The first museum? Who knows. People have been saving things and sharing them with friends over the centuries. To accumulate items into one place may have first happened in lending libraries, but there were also traveling exhibitions for people to enjoy on market days. Today's museums are the holders of history, so... visit one soon!

TODAY’S SMILE

A woman had a beautiful black cat with white feet named Socks. Socks spent his days outside and came indoors only at night. One cool October evening, he disappeared. She searched for him high and low for several days, but all in vain.

The following spring, however, Socks reappeared, looking healthy and clean. She figured he'd just been out sowing his wild oats, and let it go at that. Everything was back to normal until that autumn, when Socks once again disappeared.

The next spring, just as the prior year, he returned. When it happened for the third year in a row, she became very perplexed and decided to investigate. She started by asking her neighbors to see what, if any, information they might have. She was down to the last house on the block, the home of an older couple.

If they didn't have the answer, she wasn't sure where she would turn. So she went up and knocked on the door. The lady of the house answered, and she asked her, "By any chance, have you ever seen a black cat with four white feet around here?"

"A black cat?" the woman said. "With four white feet? Oh my, yes! He's the sweetest thing. My husband and I kept seeing him outside every fall. We hated it that the poor thing had to be out in the cold, so we decided that when we go south for the winter, we'd take him with us. He's been going to Florida with us every winter for the last few years

Why do hot dogs come ten to a package and hot dog buns only eight?

TODAY’S WORD

un·e·quiv·o·cal adjective.

Admitting of no doubt or misunderstanding; clear and unambiguous: an unequivocal success.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Luke 18:1

Jesus told about an uncaring judge who loved neither God nor people. A widow came to him begging for justice against her enemy, but the judge refused to listen. She wouldn't give up, but kept coming back again and again. The unjust judge finally decided to give her the justice she deserved in order to get rid of her. Jesus said that our God would quickly deal justly with us.

I know not by what methods rare,

But this I know: God answers prayer.

I know not if the blessing sought

Will come in just the guise I thought.

I leave my prayer to him alone

Whose will is wiser than my own.

So glad to hear that your son will soon be home with his family.  Just got word that my son-in-law will be back from his deployment to Afghanistan by the middle of the month.  This is great news indeed.  God answers prayers.  God bless you and yours.  PT
