TODAY’S QUOTE

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart.

Victor Hugo

HAPPY THURSDAY

Well we made it up to 18 degrees on Wednesday. Quite a difference for sure. All the students here went back to school and the sun was out most all day.

Good news too for my Dad…he is getting better each day and eating well too ! That’s a good thing as he had lost quite a bit of weight, now maybe he’ll gain some back.

I’ve noticed that the days are getting longer each day. I love being at home and still having a bit of daylight in the evening. Now I won’t feel like I should be going to bed at 6:00!

Daylight Savings time starts early this year too – March 11th. I’m all for it as I’m up and out early each day to go to work.

Take good care all !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…MOO COW DAY !

The bones of cattle from 6,500 B.C. have been found in Turkey. Some authorities date their domestication even earlier, but it is generally accepted that this happened after sheep, goats, pigs and dogs were already being raised on farms. Early cattle provided meat, milk and labor to their owners. Eventually they were replaced with horses for the heavy work in the fields, so they turned into happy grazers.

TODAY’S SMILE

Kevin was a first class pupil at school. His teacher asked the class, “What is the colour of apples?” Most of the children answered, “red”. A few said “green”. Kevin raised his hand and said “white”.

The teacher tried to explain that apples could be red, green, or sometimes golden but never white. Kevin was quite insistent and finally said, “look inside”.

So often we look only to the externals. We judge people by looks, by the clothes they wear, by the colour of their skin, by their accent, by the house they live in, the registration of their car and so on. Often we fail to look within and see the beauty and potential of each person. God always looks beyond the externals and sees the beauty, uniqueness and great potential of each person

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Enoch walked with God…...

Genesis 5:34

The Bible doesn't tell us much about Enoch, but it said that he was faithful and walked with God. Would it not be rewarding to be remembered as one who always walked with God?

Just as we learn from our parents, it is necessary for us to learn God's walk through study, prayer and fellowship with other believers. As we grow in our knowledge of the Lord, we become more able to walk with God.

We live in a world that is filled with tension. We worry about family problems, job security, and the world's violence. When we get in step with the Lord, we can face each day with courage and confidence.
