Mother Teresa

TODAY’S ACTION

TODAY’S QUOTE

Love has a hem to her garment that reaches to the very dust. It sweeps the stains from the streets and lanes, and because it can, it must.

Mother Teresa

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !

It looks like I’m off work today or at least I’ll be starting later…the driveway will take a lot of time to clear. I can’t get the car out until we do. Roads last night became terribly hazardous and I know the snow was supposed to continue overnight and into today.

I may just stay home the entire day. I managed to get the payroll in before I left work yesterday just in case. We only have one job going on right now with a crew of 5 men that all worked a 40 hour week, so it was pretty easy to get that done.

Have a great day !  Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS…SENDA VALENTINE DAY

TODAY’S SMILE

From Mongolian folklore comes this helpful little fable of the boastful frog. Two geese were about to start southward on their annual autumn migration, when they were entreated by a frog to take him with them. When the geese expressed their willingness to do so if a means of conveyance could be devised, the frog produced a long stalk of grass, got the two geese to take it one by each end, while he clung to it by his mouth in the middle.

In this manner the three were making their journey when they were noticed from below by some men. The men loudly expressed their admiration for the device and wondered who had been clever enough to discover it. Whereupon the vainglorious frog opened his mouth to say, "It was I," lost his hold, fell to the earth, and was dashed to pieces.

Moral: When you have a good thing going, keep your mouth shut! Love does not boast, it does not parade itself.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 John 4:7

Remember, LOVE is not a feeling – it is a choice. Once one has chosen to love, then they need to act on that choice. Often with our abilities alone it is impossible to love. Then we need to call on the love of God. The Holy Spirit will empower us to love.

Love: It is the greatest thing that God can give us, for God himself is love. Love is the greatest thing we can give to God, for it will also give ourselves, and carry with it all that is ours.

Jeremy Taylor
