HAPPY WEDNESDAY

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day ! Today is supposed to be a little warmer yet. The snows of Monday should be all gone today. This evening I’ll be going to church . We will receive ashes on our foreheads to remind us that we were made from dust and to dust we will return. The ashes are from burnt palms from last year’s Palm Sunday Celebration.

Now I know I really have to get busy painting Easter Eggs. Only about 6 weeks to go! Really only 5 as we’ll have our family celebration one weekend early.

I will be putting a picture of the March purse on my journal page this morning so you can see it!

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way!

TODAY IS...ASH WEDNESDAY

The beginning of Lent, a time of penance leading to Easter Sunday. The date of Ash Wednesday changes year-to-year because the date of Easter is determined each year as the first Sunday following the Paschal full moon.

Thismeans that Easter Sunday can be as early as March 22 or as late as April 25. If you count carefully on a calendar, you’ll note that Ash Wednesday is actually 46 days before Easter. This reflects our Christian awareness that every Sunday is the Lord’s Day, a celebration of His Resurrection, the joyful commemoration of His Easter victory over sin and death

TODAY'S SMILE

If you can start the day without caffeine,

If you can get going without pep pills,

If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,

If you can understand why your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,

If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you, through no fault of yours something goes wrong,

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,

If you can face the world without lies and deceit,

If you can conquer tension without medical help,

If you can relax without liquor,

If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,

If you can honestly say that deep in your heart you have no prejudice against creed, color, religion, or politics, then my friend...

You are ALMOST as good as your dog

TODAY'S WORD

2. To withhold promised support or participation; back down:

TODAY'S REFLECTION

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians. 4:17-18

It is said that God did not give us a road map. He gave us a guidebook. He promises to follow along with us in life. God is with us on the Journey. He allows us to make decisions. He will guide us in these decisions if we ask Him.

We may not always be on plan 'A', but we can still travel in God's way. If God had given us a complete road map, we might put our faith in the map, and not in Him
