TODAY'S QUOTE

To Look is one thing.

To See what you look at is another.

To Understand what you see is a third.

To Learn from what you understand is still something else.

But to Act on what you learn is all that really matters.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

Yesterday evening the snow began here, it got nice and slushy out and was starting to freeze on the roads when we went out to see my folks. The snow plow trucks were out before we left from their house and it was all clear coming home.

Today we’re supposed to be getting a little more and blowing and drifting. I’ll just take my time going out to church. I don’t have very far to go.

I heard from DS#1 yesterday evening too, it sounds like they were getting more snow in central Ohio than what we were. He’d been home sick with the flu most of the week. I guess it is going around. He’d even had the flu shot, so there are some bugs out there that the shot doesn’t cover. Please pray for his recovery and all those affected with the flu. It really packs a punch!

Take good care all and remember this is the day to bless your soul!

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

And please don’t forget to pray for our Troops

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the selfless acts

they perform for us in our time of need.

I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior

Thy will be done Lord

TODAY IS...OLD SHOES DAY

The oldest known shoe was found in an Egyptian tomb dated 2000 B.C. It was a sandal made out of woven papyrus - the main footwear of ancient people living in warm climates. Egyptian soldiers went into battle barefooted, but the Assyrians made the first boot for their military about 1100 B.C. Greek and Roman soldiers eventually gave up the barefoot tradition and the boot business was born

TODAY'S SMILE

Over breakfast one morning, a woman said to her husband,

"I bet you don't know what day this is." "Of course I do," he indignantly answered, going out the door to the office.

At 10 AM, the doorbell rang and when the woman opened the door, she was handed a box containing a dozen long stemmed red roses.

At 1 PM, a foil wrapped, two pound box of her favorite chocolates arrived.

Later, a boutique delivered a designer dress.

The woman couldn't wait for her husband to come home. First the flowers, then the chocolates and then the dress!" she exclaimed. I've never had a more wonderful Groundhog Day in my life
