HAPPY WEDNESDAY !
I had a beautiful Valentines Day yesterday. The sun was shining all day and I had dinner with DD and her hubby. It was delicious! What a treat to be pampered!
This evening I’ll be going to my Prayer Group. This is the makeup session for the one we had to miss last week because of the BIG snow we had. A lot of snow melted yesterday, but there is still a lot around.
Today we’ll be in the mid to upper 40’s so maybe that will melt the rest. After the gas bill I got for heating the house, I know I’ll appreciate any warmer days that we get. The bill was probably double what it was last year. The price of gas has gone up a lot! Now I’m turning the furnace down another notch and putting on another layer. I guess the days of being luxuriously warm are over for me.
I know that when the heat of summer arrives I’ll be tempted to turn the air conditioning on, but for now I’m looking forward to summer.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY IS...BURGER LOVERS DAY!
White Castle opened their first hamburger stand in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas, and... the rest is history. Hamburgers are now the favorite snack in the U.S

TODAY'S SMILE
A couple decided to go to Cyprus for the weekend, but because they both worked it was hard to coordinate their diaries. So they decided the husband would go a day early, and his wife would join him the following day.
On arriving, the husband thought he would email his wife from his laptop, but he accidentally mistyped her email address and sent it off without realising.
A widow had just returned from her husband's funeral. He was a minister of many years who had been 'called home to glory' following a heart attack. The widow checked her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends, but instead found this:
To: My Loving Wife From: Your Departed Husband
Subject: I've Arrived!
I've just arrived and have checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was. (P.S. Sure is hot down here!)
ONE MORE…
Johnny had been misbehaving and was sent to his room. After a while he emerged and informed his mother that he had thought it over and then said a prayer. "Fine", said the pleased mother. "If you ask God to help you not misbehave, He will help you."
"Oh, I didn't ask Him to help me not misbehave," said Johnny.
I asked Him to help you put up with me

He has given you love for your work and love for your neighbor.
He has given you self-discipline to control all your fears.
He is with you always!
