HAPPY TUESDAY !

AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !

Yesterday I got a nice surprise -- a 'Cup Full of Chocolate' from the Newlyweds and a later in the evening I received a call from the 'Sunshine'babes to let me know they were home from their vacation safe and sound.

After work this evening I’m going to dinner at DD’s house. She and her hubby invited me over for Valentine’s Day. What a treat! It’s always nice to have someone else make dinner for you!

Thank the good Lord for his many blessings !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

The history of Valentine's Day and its patron saint is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been a month of romance and St. Valentine's Day comes from both Christian and ancient Roman traditions Don’t forget to send your Sweetheart a Valentine today!

TODAY'S SMILE

Grandma and Grandpa were sitting in their porch rockers watching the beautiful sunset and reminiscing about "the good old days". Grandma turned to Grandpa and said, "Honey, do you remember when we first started dating and you used to just casually reach over and take my hand?"

Grandpa looked over at her, smiled and obligingly took her aged hand in his. With a wry little smile, Grandma pressed a little farther, "Honey, do you remember how after we were engaged, you'd sometimes lean over and suddenly kiss me on the cheek?" Grandpa leaned slowly toward Grandma and gave her a lingering kiss on her wrinkled cheek.

Growing bolder still, Grandma said, "Honey, do you remember how, after we were first married, you'd kind of nibble on my ear?" Grandpa slowly got up from his rocker and headed into the house.

Alarmed, Grandma said, "Honey, where are you going?" Grandpa replied, "To get my teeth

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 John 4:7

Remember, LOVE is not a feeling – it is a choice. Once one has chosen to love, then they need to act on that choice. Often with our abilities alone it is impossible to love. Then we need to call on the love of God. The Holy Spirit will empower us to love.

Love: It is the greatest thing that God can give us, for Godhimself is love. Love is the greatest thing we can give to God, for it will also give ourselves, and carry with it all that is ours.

Jeremy Taylor

Love has a hem to her garment that reaches to the very dust. It sweeps the stains from the streets and lanes, and because it can, it must.

Mother Teresa
