TODAY'S QUOTE

HAPPY SUPER SATURDAY !

I’m off to the Ohio Renaissance Festival this morning. I should be leaving the house about 6:30 a.m. as it’s about a 3 hour drive from here. One of my ‘dulcimer’ buddies is driving down with me. It will be her first time going. It’s always a lot of fun, as they all dress and act the part of the people of the times.

Today’s theme is Nordic Adventures:

Visitors from the Northland bring Viking revelry to the village. Put on your horns, braids, and beards for a full day of Nordic adventure

I haven’t got any of the above , but I do have my costume. Pictures will be posted tomorrow.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS...WORLD VEGETARIAN DAY

World Vegetarian Day has been celebrated since 1977. It brings awareness to the ethical, environmental, health and humanitarian benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. About one million people a year become vegetarians in the US.

 I’m not a vegetarian , but I love veggies.

A foursome of senior golfers hit the course with waning enthusiasm for the sport. "These hills are getting steeper as the years go by," one complained. "These fairways seem to be getting longer too," said one of the others. "The sand traps seem to be bigger than I remember them too," said the third senior.

After hearing enough from his Senior buddies, the oldest, and the wisest of the four of them at 87 years old, piped up and said,  Just be thankful we're still on the right side of the grass

A man and his wife, now in their 60's, were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. On their special day, a good fairy came to them and said that because they had been such a devoted couple, she would grant each of them a very special wish. The wife wished for a trip around the world with her husband. Whoosh! Immediately she had airline and cruise tickets in her hand. The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger ...

Whoosh! Immediately he turned ninety.

Gotta love that fairy!!

TODAY'S WORD

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path

Psalm 119:105

You needn't flounder around in the darkness of anxiety and panic, for there is an answer, if you look for it. A good way to study God's Word is to join a Bible study, for others can help you to understand, and with patience, you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ok...Ren Fest....'Renaissance Festival' sounds fun....do you play dulcimer? What kind of dulcimer does your friend play? I dabble a little with a hammered dulcimer that I own and have had since the 70's.
