TODAY'S REFLECTION

The lamp of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked will be put out   Proverbs 13:9

The writer of Proverbs refers to each of us who claim the righteousness of our Savior. We are living sermons, forin the workplace, the schools, even in our own homes we are demonstrating our faith. Others see our actions, hear our words and learn whether or not our "lamp of righteousness" is shining

What makes a Christian's light shine before men, women and children?

    William Barclay offers these standards:

Serenity in daily living. Trust in God prevents fussing and worrying. One can stay cool.

Kindness to others. Kindness in judgment, speech and actions.

Humility. No conceit, but joy in serving others.

Certainty about Death.  There is no fear of death, for we know that the Lord welcomes us to eternal life
