HAPPY ‘THANKFULLY’ THURSDAY!

Today I’m thankful for knit pants that stretch. My pants are getting tight and you know what that means… This is another busy day at work. I’ll be glad when the end of the month and the end of the fiscal year is done. As the weather gets cooler and wetter here, the business does slow down and I will get back to the slow and easy days of work. I’m never quite sure which I like best. When we’re busy, the days do go by faster.

It’s a cool and wet one here today !

Take good care all !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY'S SMILE

One day, at the dry-cleaning shop at Charleston Air Force Base, I overheard a young airman describe in great detail how he wanted his uniform cleaned and pressed. When he finished, the counter clerk asked, "Are you getting an award, or do you have an important military function to attend?" "Nothing like that," the airman said. I'm going home on leave, and my little brother is taking me to his second-grade class for show-and-tell

ONE MORE…

We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the "seniors' special" was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $1.99. "Sounds good," my wife said. "But I don't want the eggs." "Then I'll have to charge you two dollars and forty-nine cents because you're ordering a la carte," the waitress warned her. "You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?" My wife asked incredulously. "YES!!" ---- "I'll take the special." "How do you want your eggs?" "Raw and in the shell," my wife replied. She took the two eggs home.

DON'T MESS WITH SENIORS - We've been around the block more than once

TODAY'S REFLECTION

And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN

Daniel 5:25

King Belshazzar saw the writing that appeared on the wall and none of his astrologers or seers could tell him the meaning of the words. Finally Daniel, a man of God, was able to interpret the message Wouldn't it be wonderful if God would write us memos, letting us know what was ahead and how to handle everything? On second thought, perhaps it is just as well that we take it a day at a time, for when we put our trust in God; we don't have to worry about the future

Worry? Why worry?

It never keeps the trouble from overtaking you.

It gives you indigestion and sleepless hours at night

and fills with gloom the days, however fair and bright.
