TODAY'S THOUGHT
The rainbows of life follow the storms Anonymous
Believe in the sun even when it's not shining
More people would live to a ripe old age if they weren't too busy providing for it
Anomymous
How I love Saturday mornings ! Sleeping in a little, slowly sipping my coffee and of course - surfing the internet. I've beenbusy trying to find some more good quotes and quips to share with you all. Sometimes I think there just isn't anything new out there and then God turns the 'lightbulb' on and I find somemore.
This weekend will be my 'catch up' weekend before the 'Sunshine Babes' come in again next weekend. Is it really possible that it's been a month since they were here last? I guess I should be saying Congrats to the 'Newly Weds' - a month of wedded bliss on the 13th!
Time always flies by and I thank the Good Lord for His many blessings!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY IS...BATTLE OF BRITAIN DAY
The Battle of Britain was the biggest Air Battle ever fought in the history of warfare. From July through November of 1940, the Royal Air Force fought against the German Luftwaffe. These determined flyers kept Britain from being invaded. They also gave Hitler's Germany its first major defeat of WW2. They later became immortalised as "Churchill's Few" or "Dowdings Chicks" and continue to be celebrated today

gormandize • \GOR-mun-dyze verb
When "gourmet" came into use to refer to a connoisseur of food and drink, the meaning of "gourmand" softened, so that it now suggests someone who likes good food in large quantities but not in a way that is disgusting or gluttonous. "Gormandize" still carries such negative connotations, but it does also imply that a big eater has a discriminating palate as well as a generous appetite.
...for in Him we live and move and have our being...
Acts 17:28
Many times in this modern world you hear someone say, "Come on! Get a life!" It's usually said because someone is complaining, criticizing or showing some other negative attitude. It is a shame to waste time being a grouch in this beautiful world We Christians should be the most joy-filled people in the world. No other religion is so filled with joy. Jesus has promised to be with us always, so he is here to help us with all our challenges and problems.
