ANOTHER WONDERFUL ONE ON THE WAY!

 TODAY IS...DANCE A POLKA DAY

The polka is a folk dance that was originally a lively Bohemian courtship dance. It is three quick steps and a hop to music in 2/4 time - and couples cover a lot of space as they circle the dance floor. Introduced in Paris about 1843, it became a big hit both in ballrooms and on the stage. It then swept across Europe, and both North and South America. It's still popular today - if you have the energy   TODAY'S TRIVIA   1854: Henry David Thoreau published "Walden," in which he described his experiences while living near Walden Pond in Massachusetts 1859: Nathan Ames, of Saugus, MA, patented the escalator 1910: A.J.   TODAY'S REFLECTION

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise   Proverbs 6:6

We do not want you to become lazy...   Hebrews 6:12

The tiny ant teaches us many lessons: it is self motivated and highly industrialized; it collects its food in the proper seasons; it is fond of its young; it has foresight for others; and it works quietly without show until the work is done. It also works in cooperation and organization with others and it keeps its home meticulously clean. It knows its job and does it.

What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in Heaven for our Lord God...
  Martin Luther
