  HAPPY 'THANKFULLY' THURSDAY

Today I'm thankful for good friends.  They uplift me when I'm down and are always there.  Over the years, I've been blessed with a few good friends and am very thankful for them.   I had a delicious 'chili' dinner Wednesday night made by my old 'camping buddy.'  She remembered I love Chili and out of the blue called to invite me over for some.  It was yummy!   Today is another busy day at work and I'll be very thankful that tomorrow is FRIDAY!   Take good care all !

Have a great day !  Another wonderful one on the Way !

  TODAY IS...SOYBEAN DAY

Soybeans are the only bean that contain the same proteins as meat - plus immune system builders. Originating in China, it was a staple food crop in the Far East for thousands of years. Introduced to the US in the early 1800s, it is now a leading crop right behind corn and wheat. Cooked Soybeans can be substituted for diced meat in any recipe - if you can get used to the taste

   TODAY'S SMILE

John brought his new colleague, Peter, home for dinner. As they arrived at the door his wife rushed up, threw her arms around John and kissed him passionately.

"My goodness", said Peter, "and how long have you been married?"

"22 years", replied John.

"You must have a fantastic marriage if your wife greets you like that after all those years."

Don't be fooled! She only does it to make the dog jealous

     TODAY'S REFLECTION

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young — even Your altars, O lord of hosts, My King and my God

Psalm 84:3

When God created this beautiful world, he placed in each of his creatures a desire for a home, whether it is a nest, a cave, or a split-level ranch. The psalmist says that the sparrow not only lays her young in the nest, but she is also laying them on God's altars. When we bring our babies home, we are bringing them to the security of a loving family. But if Christ is the head of our family, we are also bringing them into the safekeeping of a loving Lord . Remember that the most important thing is to love them and to love the Lord. He has made the ultimate sacrifice that ensures the well being of your household. When you do the best you can, you have God's help in making your home a safe haven
