TODAY'S QUOTE

With the past, I have nothing to do; nor with the future. I live now.   Ralph Waldo Emerson

HAPPY TUESDAY !   Tonite is my dulcimer night (it got cancelled last week) and of course I always look forward to that!  The rest of the week is pretty quiet except for work and that is still very busy.

The honeymooners  are back home !  Just a little travel weary I'd imagine, but none the less back in the land of 'real life'.   The news from home is pretty ordinary - but you know I love those ordinary days!

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL !

ANOTHER WONDERFUL ONE ON THE WAY !

  TODAY IS...HAIR DYE DAY

People have been dying their hair for 3000 years, but the first commercial hair dye company wasn't started until 1909 in France. The "French Harmless Hair Dye Company" later changed their name to "L'Oreal". The products were not widely used, and by 1950, only 7% of American women dyed their hair. A Clairol champaign during the 1960's raised this figure almost overnight. Showing pictures of women with children and running the line "does she or doesn't she", hair dye was suddenly acceptable. By the end of the decade, 70% of American women were using hair dye - it's up to 75% today

TODAY'S SMILE

Marilyn, the teacher, asked her 5th grade history class, "When was Rome built?" and called on Timothy to answer  first.

"Rome was built at night." was his answer.

"At night?" asked Mrs. Taylor, holding her ruler firmly in her boney-knuckled hands. "How ever did you get such an idea?"

"Well," gulped the student, hoping his answer would satisfy her,

everyone knows Rome wasn't built in a day

One more...

Little Johnny was thrilled when his turn came to enter kindergarten. To make sure he had plenty of time to eat breakfast and get ready on the first day, his mother woke everybody up early -- so early that it was still dark.

After looking outside Little Johnny went down the hall and found his mother dressing in the bedroom. He looked so troubled that his mother asked, "What's wrong?" mustering as much cheerfulness into her voice as she could at that hour. "This is your big day!"

Little Johnny blurted, You didn't tell me I was going to night school

  TODAY'S WORD

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Forget what happened long ago! Don't think about the past. I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it   Isaiah 43:18-19

God's Word constantly reminds us not to dwell on the past or worry about the future, but to make the most of today.  You and I do not face challenges alone, for Christ lives in us and we have God's power with us in all we do. Truly we can rejoice and move forward.
