  TODAY'S SMILE

A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck was a Dalmatian dog.

The children fell to discussing the dog's duties.

"They use him to keep crowds back," said one youngster.

"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."

A third child brought the argument to a close. "They use the dogs," she said firmly, to find the fire hydrant
one more...   Boy Scouts from the city were on a camping trip. The mosquitoes were so fierce, the boys had to hide under their blankets to avoid being bitten.

Then one of them saw some lightning bugs and said to his friends, We might as well give up. They are coming after us with flashlights

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.   Isaiah 49:13

Isaiah tried to comfort his people and make them realize how much God loves them. I can just imagine this faithful prophet enthusiastically praising the Lord!   Here's a suggestion that will help you keep enthusiastic faith.

Don't just pray when you're lonely,
Don't just pray when you're blue.
Thank the Lord in heaven for the good he's given you.
Don't just pray when it's stormy,
Don't just pray when you're sad.
Thank the Lord in heaven when you're feeling mighty glad
