HAPPY WEDNESDAY
Over the Hump Day !!
Our temperatures are rising once more and each of the next few days promises a thunder shower or two…we’ll see how many evening walks I get in this week
This is the last full week of July already and it hardly seems possible. August will begin next week and I always think of that as the last ‘real’ month of Summer. I still haven’t had my ‘trip to the beach’ yet and I’d better get busy or the time will slip away from me.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY IS…SUGAR CANE DAY
Sugar cane is a giant grass that grows in warm, moist climates and stores sugar in its stalk. This natural sugar is ground out of the cane as juice, boiled into syrup and spun into crystals. The end result is raw sugar that is a tan color and very coarse. Raw sugar is not used in food. It is shipped to another refinery to be washed and filtered to remove the color and any leftover plant material. It is then crystallized, dried and packaged toland at your nearest grocery store.

TODAY’S SMILE
A husband got in big trouble after his wedding anniversary. His wife told him the day before: "Tomorrow there better be something in the driveway for me that goes zero to 200 in 2 seconds flat."
The next morning the wife found a small package in the driveway. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
One More…
When we get home," I lectured my three young sons in the backseat of the car, "I want you all to clean your rooms because Uncle Ed is coming over. He's never been to our house before, and I want it to look tidy."
My nine-year-old finally broke a lengthy silence. "But isn't that kind of like lying?
And Finally –

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise
Proverbs 6:6;
The tiny ant teaches us many lessons: it is self motivated and highly industrialized; it collects its food in the proper seasons; it is fond of its young; it has foresight for others; and it works quietly without show until the work is done. It also works in cooperation and organization with others and it keeps its home meticulously clean. It knows its job and does it.
What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in Heaven for our Lord God... Martin Luther
