TODAY'S THOUGHT

In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing that you can do is nothing.

Theodore Roosevelt

TODAY’S ACTION

Reflect upon the choices you have made.

TODAY’S QUOTE

Life consists of problems, living is solving those problems. You should live life to its fullest and never look back on the past.

HAPPY THURSDAY

After a very hot day yesterday a nice breeze came through and we were able to get out for our evening walk. Just after we got home we had a little rain shower, but we could use more. I hope it doesn’t wait for the weekend . The campers in the family have had quite enough of that !

It was a long 10 hour day at work yesterday which is a good thing I guess, it means we are busy and have plenty of work.

I talked with DDIL#5 just briefly this evening and she is doing well. DS#6 has a little booth at the Metro Parks craft show this weekend doing his art work.. He really is doing quite well with his sideline job.

That’s the news from home, pretty quiet here.

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way

TODAY IS… BUGS BUNNY DAY

Bugs first said, "What's up, Doc?" in a cartoon called 'A Wild Hare', directed by Tex Avery and released by Warner Bros. in 1940. Artist Bob Clampett created Bugs after seeing actor Clark Gable munching a carrot in the movie It Happened One Night. Avery (from Texas) wanted to call him Jack Rabbit, but he was finally named "Bugs" - the nickname of another cartoon director. Food companies begged to have him chew on celery or brocolli, but carrots were always the trademark of the "waskely wabbit". A recent survey ranks him as the most popular animated character in the world today

TODAY’S SMILE

Margo asked what her friend's two new dogs were named. Her friend replied that one was named Rolex and one was named Timex. “I've never heard of anyone naming their dogs like that” said Margo. “But why not” said her friend, “they're watch dogs!”

 ONE MORE…

Adapted Turtle

Deep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his front legs and crashed to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again, jumped, and fell to the ground.

The turtle tried again and again while a couple of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts. Finally, the female bird turned to her mate. "Dear," she chirped, "I think it's time to tell him he's adopted."

FINAL THOUGHT…

The Baby philosophy — if it stinks, change it.

 TODAY’S REFLECTION

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.

Psalm 13:5-6

If you are feeling afraid that God is not hearing your prayers, take time to read Psalm 13 and gain encouragement from David. Then remember all the times God has been good to you and you'll be ready for the challenges of the day!
